1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Just some pics and prices of what I just found on Pellpax as a rough guide to pricing.

Sapsan: as predicted £900. Doesn’t say what barrel it comes with and no other options. I have emailed them to ask but I don’t expect many answers. Two caliber .177 & .22 and are interchangeable. 3kg, barrel length 550mm, 300 bar.
I emailed Pellpax and they are expecting them around End of May/June. They are Zbroia’s own barrel and there may be an option for a LW barrel. The mod in the pic comes with it and has a 1/2 inch unf if you wanted to change, It’s regulated and has two mags as standard.

Two caliber again but not interchangeable .177& .22, 3.1kg, 300bar barrel length 450mm & 550mm. Not too sure what to make of this one to be honest.

What does everyone think, especially the £900 Sapsan offering?

There are a lot of rifles in the below £900 category mate. I’d be hard pressed to justify the Kozack to myself when my Hw110 is a dream to shoot and cost less. Mind you saying that between this and a Goldstar?? I’d be tempted this way depending on how it performs.

I agree, £900 isn’t as appealing as the under £600 for a Kozak which IMO is very good value. It puts it in a different class as well at the £900 price and up against some long standing rifles with good reputations.

Bear in mind those are RRP prices which are advertised. The Kozak FC should be delivered next week. You'll be looking more like £540.

Just spoke to wirral Air Guns as I wondered if the Sapsan came with the barrels for that price...it doesn't!
Be interesting to see how they allow adjustment when barrels are changed, as the Impact had a multitude of adjustments, and the Zbroia guns seem basic in comparison.
£700 I'd be tempted to have a punt but £900 is way off the mark for me for a relatively new to market manufacturer....established marques don't charge that for tried and tested good guns.
Bit to much money too soon in my opinion but hats off to them for bringing new stuff to market and having a go.

Think that the initial success of the Kozak and Hortistia has gone to Zbroia's head thinking that there will be a rush for this at £900!!! Wonder how many Lothar model variants have sold at £780?

The only reason it was a “success” is because it was cheap and turns out it also accurate and pretty well made!

Now they have got all excited.....like you say Glenn

Aesthetically the Kozak FC looks better but moving the cocking lever to the back is a big mistake I think, I'd like to know the reason for them doing that.

I'm wondering if the price is driven by Pellpax... They seem to be the main importer now so I would expect them to be encouraging Zbroia based upon the popularity of the Kozak

Better than the original Kozak I meant. Especially if it's a one piece stock, the current stock just lets it down for me but I know it's still a fantastic rifle for the money

Pellpqx don't import it mate it's someone else...they are just the 'official's distributor in the UK I believe.

Countryways are gonna be the best people for Zbroia stuff as they are competitive on price and you know you'll get a new gun and not a returned one.
Also helps that they post on here and are active enough to ask questions and reply honestly in a timely manner.

@countryways maybe we could get a group buy in for £700 if your up for it :D:p:D:p

I prefer the appearance of the original but agree with you on the one piece stock, if indeed it is now 'one' piece. That said, it remains excellent value for money at the current price point.

The official importers are a company called Regael based in Dublin. Their website gives a phone number with the area code 01263, same as Pellpax. Phone the number and you speak to someone from -----Pellpax

I can say 100% that Regael are not Pellpax. Regael happen to have a unit on the same estate as Pellpax. The gentleman i speak to at Regael is not from Pellpax.

Anyway...... On to the Sapsan. So it has not been 100% confirmed yet whether they will come with a single barrel, or a set of barrels, although it will most likely be a single barrel of your choosing, 177 22 etc.

Going on the trade price i've been quoted you will be looking at £720. YEP Seven Hundred and Twenty Pound. Like i said £900 is the RRP.
I may well get in trouble for putting up our price, but unless the trade price changes, that's the price we will be.
