1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Placed my order on a Wolverine C type last week after falling foolishly and expensively in love, but one thing I noticed even before handing my money over was that about 95% of anyone who has anything to say hates it with a burning passion ( excluding of course any of the air rifle magazines who will pretty much recommend anything with five stars these days) but I just wanted to harvest the opinions of the members of this fine forum and hear what you all have to say about it :)

Taste is a personal thing, 95 % of under 25s wear trousers 3 " below the bum crack!
If you like its looks and it performs, then why worry what others think.

The only bit that spoils it for me, is the plastic bit around the cylinder!

many hate the bsa ultra, but I don't give a Censored;)

i think that the problem with the now design is not the gun itself but the fact that they have put that silly looking plastic bit on the end rather than nicely finishing of the woodwork on the for-end and then just having the air tube like any other gun

It looks like that to save money and have only one stock type and to differentiate between it and the 303.

Cheers for the input guys I know where everyones coming from though the 303 couldn't look any more stunning and they could have really capitalised on those looks by applying them to the C type but in my opinion it looks better than just an exposed bottle like on the b type but evidently I am one of few!! :)

I'd go with this as well. The look is growing on me, but could have been better. I think a lot of people are put off not so much by the new look, but by the fact it's not what "they" wanted from this gun, which was the 303 look in a 12ftlb package. I still think we will see that, and with the MK4is electronics, it's just a matter of time.

Hi jacobh you've got yourself a top top rifle i too was waiting for the wolverine c type to come out and was hoping it was going to look like the 303 but after the disappointment with both guns virtually identical other than the cylinder i got myself the b type only on the merit of a bigger shot count its a bit strange that the c type with it's smaller cylinder and a bit of plastic is a few grams heavier but you can hardly notice it.
enjoy your new toy get out there and get some lead through it you won't be disappointed on its performance

This is my stance on the matter too. I've still got the money waiting to buy a 12ftlb version of the 303, if one ever appears, and I was led to believe that the 'c' type was going to be just that (whether this was poor communication by Daystate, or simply hearsay and conjecture that got misinterpreted as fact somewhere along the line).

I do like the idea of the weaver/picatinny rail at the front for bipods and stuff, but it would annoy me to have the same buddy bottle stock (and its associated weight), but with only 50% of the cylinder volume inside a huge lump of plastic. It is not so much the aesthetics (as the overall look is growing on me), but the huge waste of space that could have been taken up by a larger cylinder inside a thinner cage. Maybe they can't source any bottles that size, or the plastic is too weak to make it any thinner, but there are other materials available.

Or they could have saved themselves some work and simply used the 303 stock and cylinder that are already in production!!

I have a few Daystates, and they're generally nice guns but, imo Daystate don't build guns now as good as they did a few years ago, and i really don't think they warrant the hefty price tags any more.

There was a lot of hype when the Wolverine was launched about it's ground breaking technology, mainly that it can't be double loaded, HW100 has had those bragging rights for years but, for a lot less money.

Having said that, if you want one and have the funds, buy it, i wouldn't worry what others say, especially when spending that sort of money, it's what you want that matters ;)

I like it. From what I've seen the idea is the bottle and cylinder are interchangeable, so you can have a b type and a c type, all you do is remove the plastic piece.

That frontal shot just makes it look crap, as the lines between the plastic and wood don't flow.
But when you see it from the side on it looks so much better, and with the stippling panels on the side it looks good.
My only gripe with it now is they should have put an adjustable butt pad on it.
I think they could get away with that style but with a sporter stock too.
