1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

If it came out in .22 FAC I'd love it. Really I'd like it in .303 but that would mean another variation, which possibly wouldn't be granted.

Why not? It is only £15 for a variation and why would they NOT allow it? Be a good fox round if you squeaked them close.

I've got .17hmr, which I wouldn't want to give up - the police may tell me just to stick with that. I've got a .22 FAC air slot as it is, but I suppose a 1-for-1 would maybe take care of that.

Don't be a pussy - tell them what you want. Don't let them dictate to you. A .22 FAC is not the same as a .30cal FAC - but I still think the Rapid in full power is a better bet, they'll do 80ft-lbs, but it is a bit pointless as accuracy goes out the window because of the supersonic speed achieved. A .25 at 80ft-lbs would work better. You would still get around 25 shots from a bottle - but one shot is all you would get because the noise of all that air escaping would be enough to wake the dead!

Would be nice in .25 if you can get 55/70gr pellets :)

It's a nice looking gun, would love to try it on the bunnies, it's looks quite cumbersome though, I love the new ambi bolt and safety

fac air is not on the Feo,s allowed calibre list for fox. It would be a big job getting something allowed that is not on the list.
Even .17 hmr is not allowed by many forces and it has far more power. Cheers Andy

I think the DS Wolverine is just an example of big willy syndrome. The Porsche cayenne of airgunning."oooh look at me and my massive feet poundage"

It weighs the same as an HW97k (4.2 kg)and people always moan about the weight of them. So, no PCP weight advantage
A rimfire weights in at circa 2.5 KG so the DS Wolverine is 1.7 kg heavier
The fill pressure is 250 bar with 300cc of fill.Thats a lot of air wanting to be somewhere other than compressed
It produces 12-15 shots at 100 F/lbs, so a really really small shot count. How many rimfire rounds can you keep in your pocket?
100 f/lbs is a lot for an air rifle, granted, but in the real world, still not a lot when compared to a rim fire or centre fire
    A brand new centre/rimfire costs £500-£600?. A DS Wolverine costs around £2.5k lol :D

I really can't see the point of it other than Day State massaging their already over inflated "oooh look at us" ego to the general public.

Air rifles have many advantages but at the end of the day, they are just air rifles. This takes air rifles out of their comfort zone and into an area better served by fast burning propellants pushing projectiles at rather silly speeds, rather than a relatively large slug of lead wombling down range with a cheeky puff of air..................

Hmmm, wonder how many likes and dislikes this post will get lol :)

I can get a new Remington rim fire for about £400, the wolverine is about £1400 I think , I was sold on the idea when I heard about it and wanted one so badly until I worked out the weight, shot count etc, plus the fact that my airwolf cost that much and as much as I love it I don't want to go crawling round in the mud with it , it's a nice toy to have but I'll get a rim fire when I go FAC and bank the extra grand

I'm split re this - one side of me says "Well done - British airgun manufacturer moving into big-bore air country: good luck cracking the international market"; the other side (and probably the one I'm more inclined to) says "Buy a fecking rimmy".

As Dunkman says - £2.5k for an air rifle? I could get an absolute belter of a rimfire setup or a belter of a centre-fire setup with a decent scope and all the trimmings included and still come away with enough change to buy a decent PCP or springer setup. Or just buy one of the already well established big-bore air guns that Manny has - they seem to work well for him taking feral hogs so what's a .303 going to bring to the freezer that they can't? - and sink the change into your mortgage.

I see it as either an aspirational thing (no bad thing if this is what floats yer boat) or a willy-waver for the people that wear a full Jack Pyke suit slathered with Team Daystate badges from top to toe...... those metal targets never see or know what hit them :p
