1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Been toying with the idea of one of these to add to my allready overpopulated gun room.
A HW35 or a HW95 or a HW99 or finally a HW85? i want it to have open sights and will be in .177. Anybody have any experience on these particular models, which ones are prone to problems (if any) etc.

If you want open sights look no further than either the Hw35 or the lighter Hw99s. Both superb rifles. Myself I'd pick the '99s as I all ready have one.:)

Yeah it is toughie, not sure im right but doesnt one of these suffer from the linkage gouging the cylinder when cocking? or was that on older models in the past. I thinks its going to be between the 99 or the 35....but lol

Open sights I'd have to say the HW35 , but I am biased as I have one and love mine . Simplicity and accuracy in a nut shell

I'd go for the HW85 .... they seem alot less common than the HW35, HW95 OR HW99. ... Sure all of them would be great rifles. Not sure why but i'm not that keane on the 99 or 35, they dont look like adult guns to me lol. Wouldnt part with my 95 ;)

Im not really bothered about looks as i allready have in my opinion the best looking break barrel springer ever made, a walnut stocked venom webley longbow, but this is a scope only rifle, hence why im after a iron sighted HW.. I think its going to be a 35 unless some decent old anschutz turns up.
