Does anyone know a good place to get parts stripped and reblued? I want to get my HW80 cylinder and back block done, does anyone know what sort of price range this work would cost?

    Thanks in advance :)

I have been tempted to go DIY, but I want a really good finish and my attention to detail/patience is rather poor. :) I haven't heard good stories about cold-bluing either.

I like the idea of "rust bluing" which I read about on here but I will be buying a new barrel so I would like the cylinder to have the same bluing.

I`ll agree that sending it to Colin is your best bet charged me £25 for a HW80 barrel. but "better than Weihrauch`s factory bluing" is pushing it a little far. I found the blu to be very thick and almost covered all the writing and serial numbers. Not a moan just saying that Weihrauch factory blu is top notch to start with.
