    wow, quite a few then.

General consensus? .20 surely is a go between .177 and 22, so should be more popular?

    Hello again :D

    .20

i have used .20 and it is a bloody good calibre, if you can get the pellets to suit your barrel. imo not enough pellet choice and one for the manufacturers, not anywhere near enough decent barrels:down:

You forgot one from the old list: BSA 635 Magnum.

I've got one and it's a lot of fun. At the time I think it was the only full production .25 in the country - could be wrong but it was out in the late 80s I think.

    .25

Apparently .25 is awesome in FAC. Real stopping power and energy downrange.
It's going to be the first choice for me when I get my ticket.

Think .25 in Sub 12FP is only good for Close Up
More a unlimited us in USA & Ireland where run @ FAC Level

.20 was Ben Taylors pet project

But lack of ready available pellets seems to have killed it over the years

Especially as there are now Heavier pellets in .177

    .25 pellets

Hi, I've used .25 for around 2 years for rats and I have no complaints.
    Even had the odd rabbit.
All you need to remember is the pronounced trajectory.
There are lots of .25 pellets out there, the problem is the average gunshop will only stock one or two "old favourates" like BSA Pylarm (which my HW barrel doesn't like) or Bisley Pest Control (useless down range).
I've found a good pellet for all round in .25 is H+N Field and Target Trophy.
For "extra penetration" H+N Diabolo Barracuda Extra Heavy will punch a hole through most stuff rats might hide behind, wiggley tin etc:D
I've also used Super Fields,Penetrators,H+N Field+Target(not Trophy) and H+N Rampoint
