Out and about today visiting fishing tackle shops for Nash, the odd few are also RFD’s which is handy - shop and work at the same time:)

A good old pal of mine Danny at Anglia Tackle and Gun says “what’s next then Mike?” With my response being something along the lines of a real old dog that I can bring back to life. After the 99 and 80 it’s seems to be the obvious next step, especially after @Blackmax and I were only discussing this at the weekend.

He runs up stairs and returns smiling whilst holding a box, a box with something old and broken down.

I now have a 1976 Hofmann Premier HW35 complete with period Tasco scope and one piece mount.

A few bolts and springs missing but with help from Andy I’m going to learn a lot more along the way with this as I’m planning to learn how to refinish the stock and knock up some spring guides on the lathe. The metal work will all be sent off to be blued/blacked also.

    Nice little project I think:)

Lovely Mikey, you've got to keep that Hoffman stock, it's a rare one. I'll refurb it for you and tidy up the chequering.

Maybe we can check it over Saturday.

Me too! I was only Saturday night I was saying a nice old 35 or 77 would do for a project. Couldn't believe this when he handed it to me.

Nice little project.. I believe they were pretty much a standard 35, rebadged for the Hofmann gun shop and sold only in Germany.
Hofmann were like the german version of hull cartridge.
Theres a slightly tatty one in a rfd local to me for £125..
How much did you pay for the box o’ bits?

Oo, oo Mr.Beesley......(sorry, a Hair-Bears reference - 70s Hanna Barbara and all that!). As with the others here Mikey, going to love seeing the finished project. Sweet stock - I reckon that's going to come up nice. All this and a Tasco scope too :).
