webley raider 10 problem ?

    hi everyone....just after a bit of advise on a webley raider 10.....when filled to correct pressure [ 190 bar ]...rifle has no power untill i have fired off about 20 shots...i have tried a slightly lower fill pressure but it is the same.....the pellets just seem to go anywhere and even bounce off a piece of softwood at 20 yards......one pressure has been fired off [ approx 20 shots ] it is fine for accuaracy and will demolish tin cans at 40 yards.....please can any one advise @ many thanks john

    Seems odd that it still does it at a lower fill pressure, I would get it serviced, new valve and hammer springs.

    id say when it gets below 160 it is fine.....it is as if the trigger hammer does not open valve enough when filled to full..i just wondered if any one else as had same problem.....many thanks john

    yes andy it would appear that could be the case......it seems as if the valve spring is too strong,assisted by the pressure when full and that the trigger hammer is not strong enough......regards john

    are you filling with a cylinder you may have 'bounced' the gauge so it is reading lower than the actual pressure, so you are putting in a higher pressure than recommended, get it checked

    no dekka........the guage on the gun and the air cylinder are both reading the same....thanks john

    My Brother and Father both have the Raider 10shot. Neither have this exact problem, but untill they get the pressure well down below the fill at about 200, there shots at a target go everywhere.

    If shot at a can at 12yards they would most definatly miss.
