  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I've owned several of these now and they are a cracking little pistol. Single stroke pneumatic, needing one cocking stroke, giving totally recoiless shots at approx 2.8ftlbs. No powerhouse but an accurate pistol.

The last one I owned I got for a bargain £40 but a major RTA a few days later resulting in a broken collar bone meant I could never shoot it, and the subsequent being off work meant it got sold along with all my other guns.

I saw this .177 two tone for sale on the b b s with an aim point sight and shoulder brace for £135 so I bought it and it arrived this morning. 10 mins or so zeroing it and it's bob on and like I said a very accurate performer.

Im gonna sell the aimbrace and red dot as I'll never use them so I'll put them on eBay and see what they go for, I know the aimbraces are getting rare now so it'll be interesting seeing what it'll sell for.

Its ok to be fair I've adjusted it as I like it, there's no creep in it which is the important thing for me, it's a tad heavy but there's a simple mod that imvolves replacing the trigger spring that's in the grips with a thinner one, so I'll commemt on it once I've done that.

What a beauty. It takes me back down memory lane as it was my first airgun and all that I was allowed when living with my parents pre 16. I loved it though but sold it to get my first rifle. Wish I still had it and would jump at the chance to get another as mine was with the black/silver two tone and came with the shoulder stock and red dot although I later added a pistol scope as well. Could shoot constant 2p size groups at 15 yards with that on it back then.

No and if they were they wont be made like they were as these were made by the 'proper' Webley, not the front that is Webley today.

Such a shame they went bust, a true loss to the Airgunning world, well all shooting platforms for that matter.

FB - lovely collection of pistols you have.

My mate has a black .22 one.
I remember when he bought it from DAI,they were in a clear blister type packaging.
He had that and I had my BSA 240 Magnum

I have a BSA240 Magnum now and it is a much nicer looking pistol than the Nemesis, however it is much harder to shoot straight and the build quality is questionable, but steel and walnut beats plastic every time.

BSA magnums are great pistols, but they are a pig to shoot accurately. They need a good grip with the right hand and youse your left index finger and place it on the grooves,on the front of the trigger guard.

Btw they are made of alluminuim, not steel;)

I couldn't hit an A4 piece of paper at 7 yards when I bought it last year second hand, around 10 years old.
After fully servicing it with new oils, grease, a new mainspring and a few seals, the breach one being absolutely mangled,
it now shoots with 15fps consistency and I can hit a 2p at that distance with only a few misses.
Disappointingly though it only shoots 3.9-4.0 ftlbs, not the supposed 5+ ftlbs it was supposed to.

I have a two tone Nemesis too; although it's not quite in such nice nick. Made a very good entry-level 10m gun once the trigger was fettled :)

Yeah there ok, it's got a thicker foresight than the hw45, but it's still usable.

ah, looks like a fun pistol. that stock is rather interesting too, I wonder why pistol makers topped making add ons like that? (because they weren't popular..) I quite like the option of add ons like that!

had any more thoughts on the pistol sight thread we discussed?

Had my black .22 Nemesis since they first came out, with the aim point and aimbrace which does realy aid things at longer ranges, after a good service mine has always been producing 3ftlb, realy accurate pistols they really are. was my first real training pistol and im still using it now and again, never had to replace a seal, just the cast hammer base snapped many years ago so to close the lid you must pull back the hammer to cloae then release, other than that its perfomance it outstanding, it competitor that was in a higher price bracked was the Hw45 but its sales and popularity helped doom the Nemesis's longevity production wise, then the BSA seen a few posts back. i must say the heavier, more powerfull full metal Hw45 was a quality quality piece but was not as accurate as the Nemesis is.

    Ah memories!

    Cheers.

Ps. Forgot to add that all the trigger blades dull the same way after about 1 years usage, never seen one that hasnt got a dull-ed metal trigger. (that hasnt been plated or polishes at a later date that is.)

Im sorry but your wrong abut the hw45 accuracy, it's far more accurate than the nemesis. I think the problem with the hw45 is that most people can't shoot them accurate so in a way blame the pistol as not being accurate.

Here's a five shot group at 10 yards using 7 grain rws r10 match, I pulled one shot and there's 4 shots in that clover leaf group. Btw that's a 5 p piece.

Amd a true comparison, showing three groups of my falcon fn6 precharge pistol with Simmons 2-6x32 pistol scope and my open sighted hw45, again a 5p for comparison. This shows you just how accurate the 45 is.

My nemesis won't group anything as tight as those hw45 groups.

Hi mate yes I had forgot about that I will have a go at doing it when the weathers better.
As to the accessories, no idea why they stopped doing add ones for them, it's a real shame.

Ive got my aimbrace and the red dot on eBay at the moment I I know the aimbrace in particular is rather rare so it'll be interesting How much it goes for.

I guess it depends on how many Nemesis' there are still in use.

I had one, it was a novelty but what was annoying about it was you had to keep the palm grip on it which spoiled lines to use it. It would have been better if it was quick release from the pistol as it came.
