1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Well, today has been interesting to say the least.

35 yard garden target ; (bench rest).

12 month old Vulcan against 3 day old Pulsar.

To say I'm surprised is an understatement. I expected the Vulcan to trash the Pulsar, as this is my preferred rifle...but, there was little between them.

I never thought I would say anything against the Vulcan (and I don't) but the Pulsar is sooooo very close and an absolute delight to use.

It only goes to show.... Don't judge a book by its cover.

Sorry, all this is meaningless.... But I'm Gobsmacked how good the Daystate Pulsar is

Smooth / Controlled / and a pleasure to use comes to mind.

Sorry... But I might even becoming a Daystate fan...

Hope I'm not banished to the naughty chair

It's great to hear from someone who has bit the bullet and tried one to see for themselves how good many Daystates can be - I'm not going to defend the service as I know it can be lackluster, but the vast majority of guns are very good, and I say that form years of experience with dozens of their guns.

I too was out in the garden today with my Pulsar and my HW97, both were a joy to shoot, but I'm a PCP fan at heart and long term it's where I'll stay.

I also find the Pulsar the easiest gun to shoot standing that I have ever had, the weight just disappears when it's in your shoulder and makes it so much easier than a standard length rifle.

You will find it even better when you get it's favourite pellets unless you have managed to do this in the past few days? I find JSB exacts in 4.52 to consistently give good results in many of my Daystates :thumb:

No argument from me, agree with all mentioned. As for preferred pellets, it's early days but not much to choose between JSB exact 4.52 and AA Diabolo field 4.5.

I think, what's really surprised me is, I thought my Red Wolf was everything I ever wanted in a rifle but the Pulsar is a far better balanced and as you mentioned, standing shots, the weight just disappears. I also love the AR type stock...
    It just suits.

As always, I guess it's horse's for courses, some will like and others won't.

    Me......... I'm a happy bunny!!!!

Unfortunately, Daystate always appears to take a bit of a Drubbing on the forum.

So I anticipate responses / replies to be limited.

As always, it's all down to personal taste.

For me... My R10 Red Pepper Is the absolute eye candy, but again, it's all down to personal taste.

    We all like different stuff

I have a few vulcan 2s and shot a few pulsars, the pulsar is a match in accuracy but a technological masterpiece. A vulcan 2 is a simple rock solid gun like an AK47 that just works. I prefer the vulcan.

Unfortunately, that's exactly how I feel... The Vulcan takes some beating!

    It just works!

I just love pretty guns but the Vulcan Is the true workhorse. and probably the best gun I've ever purchased.

The pulsar I had was good, the lock time on the electronic Daystates :thumb:

The Vulcan tactic looks much better imho and much better ergonomics. Enjoy them during the lockdown if you can :)

As I posted earlier... each to their own

However, I don’t disagree that the Rapid is a fab rifle.

Yer mean it could get better

I had a full day with it yesterday and found myself grinning like a Cheshire Cat last night.

That hasn’t happened for the last 72 years on this planet

Whats the tactic like prone ?

Ive a Cricket and its awesome, but I found a glitch in the bullpup layout as I couldn't shoot comfortably prone, my first attempt actually but it made me think of putting the NV back on my rapid for rabbits as prone a rifle is nicer, any other hunting scenario I cant fault this cricket.

Hi I don't know about rat gun more like snake gun that finish. I just wish I could get a Vulcan tactic but my nearest RFD is waiting for them to come in, so I have no chance now for months. Board already. Graham

Chris, I hate to disappoint you but my days of shooting prone are long over as a 72 year old geezer

So..... as much as I would love to answer your question, I’m afraid it’s not going to be

However, as the Vulcan Tactic is a little longer than a true Bullpup, it might be fine (although this is all in my imagination).

Unfortunately, you need to fine a young dude to give you a real answer.

Bozz, the P15 Snake skin look was just done for a bit of fun (Hydro-dipped). “I love it”

My local RFD is distributor for AGT and I’m sure the wait will not be that long.... although I suppose these are very difficult times right now but my understanding is that AGT are still in full manufacturing mode.

There is of course a possibility that Krale will supply you a Tactic. I have personally brought many guns / accessories from them and there are totally reliable.
