1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Thinking about giving up smoking after 15 years. I've tried e-cigs and although I got on with them for some reason I went back to smoking regular cigs.

Over the last few days posts on here and other thinking have drawn me to vaping.

So my question is for a starter what would you guys recommend. I have been looking at the totally wicked stuff. Is it any good or not.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

A lot on that website is over priced, best website I've found so far for kit is Vape Escape or Cloud 9 Vaping.

To start off get an Ego C Twist Battery and a Kanger Pro Tank 2, brilliant starter kit.

Don't be tempted by a lot of these cheap things on EBay, buy the genuine kit from a decent website and you will have the best start to your vaping journey.

Vape Escape do some nice Grizwalds Juices or if you fancy some better juices still look at Mrs Lord & Co.

There's a massive selection of juices available online but don't be tempted by the dirt cheap Chinese juices, stick to juices made in the UK that are made with quality ingredients.

if you need any vaping advice send me a pm, I've been vaping for a good while now and happy to help get you off the stinkies! You won't look back once you start vaping and find a nice juice :)

If you buy from Vape Escape use the code: ukv for 10% off

I use Ecigwizard for most of my stuff and have found them to be reliable and pretty decent customer service wise, I've been a full-time vapour for about 15 months now and would recommend this as a reasonable starting point, it will provide everything you need to get started; if your a heavy-ish smoker it's probably worth starting on 24mg strength as you can always mix it with lower strength juice if you find it too much.

If you do buy from Ecigwizard, try "GADGET" in the discount code box and it should knock a chunk off for you but if it doesn't work have a Google about as there is always a code available but GADGET was working last week.:)

An ego twist and protank will start you off nicely, theirs no way I could stopped using a supermarket job.

As said a protank or even an evod are good place to start. As egg said in an earlier post, he had a couple of toots on a fag just like I did a few weeks back, but much preferred a vape of vanilla custard, smooth, tasty, nice tingle at the back of the throat, but without the bad Censored the comes with fags!!

    Pefrect:up:

    Best of luck mate:)

As above, really. Don`t buy cheap, and always have a spare battery! If there`s a shop close by (there are about five within 20 minutes of me) try the different flavours and nicotine strengths.
It took me a couple of days to really get used to my vape, now I hate the taste of a fag.Good luck.

As the guys have already said, don't buy cheap as chances are the cheap stuff will fail on you and you'll be reaching for that packet before you can say "Delivery time 5-7 working days".

Buy an Ego-C Twist to start off. The "Twist" bit allows you to vary the power going into the coil: too harsh a hit then turn the power down; not enough then turn it up. Good starter point for your journey.

Alternatively you can get right into things and buy something a bit more advanced but TBH crawl before you run is my advice however I only crawled for a wee while before I went to the more advanced side of things but I've pretty much found my vape:

    Sigelei 19b mod

Phoenix Stainless Steel dripper (2 of these - one for my Cigarrillos e-liquid & one for my Accies Ambrosia: 2 very different tastes so I keep them in separate dripper)

    Batteries - x2 18650 Panasonic & x4 18350 Efest

    Charger

    Sorted!

    Good luck :)

Same as you, after over 40 yrs, did the same thing, ie ecig, but started smoking again, then got a starter kit from totally wicked, not wanted a cig since, took a few days to get used to, a bit expensive online, but I am lucky, they have a stall in Leeds market. Hope you manage to give up. Bob.

You won't need any extras to start as these kits will give you a decent quality battery, charger and clearo... having said that, whilst the wife prefers the type of clearo that come with the kit I prefer the Evod but once you get going you'll sus out what works for you and what doesn't but the most important bit is getting started. The clearos can be cleaned and can last quite a long time (a bit of Googling will show you how to clean each type) but it's very important to have spares of everything if you intend to kick the baccy totally out of the window... a flat battery is the new 'forgot me baccy'!

If you get these kits be prepared to get into it, I would liken it to going from ready-mades to rollies, not great to start but once your brain connects your ecig with a nicotine hit you'll be flying!

I prefer menthol juices as I didn't want to smoke so it seemed daft to get a tobacco flavour but that's all down to personal choice, if your serious about giving it a go, order more juice to start with; the wife and I use about 100ml a month and as the postage is the same regardless it's better to make less orders.

Discount wise, I ordered yesterday and 'GADGET' didn't work but 'ESAVUKE' was good for 10%.;)

I intend to start knocking-up my own coils and wicks, can you recommend a good source of coil material, also how do you deal with your cotton wool... are you boiling first or can you buy it ready to go?:)

The wife gets her menthol from the alchemist cupboard.

Will find the link where I get my batteries from, they are 1300mah so last a long time.

Shorter and fatter, so your setup won't look like a fire poker.

Juice wise, we've buying this for a while which is nice and cheap at the moment and we find it a decent vape, charger wise, if you buy two kits you should be ok with two chargers and as they're usb you can stick 'em into pretty much any usb socket (phone, tablet, pc, wall) so unless your lacking in usb wall chargers I wouldn't bother, the batteries seem to be good quality as my last one lasted over a year and I broke it in the end and the wife's is still going strong but a spare battery and clearo is a must really although I've not had a catastrophic battery or clearo failure just 'better order sharpish moments' .:)

Whatever you get there is a world of information to help you along with a search or two on Google
