1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I know somebody who was on 8 tramadol a day (nerve pain) she was like a zombie.
She now takes cannabis oil (the stuff with THC) and has not had a tramadol since.
No pain, sleeps better and has started eating again.

I had a big off when bike racing in 2012 and broke 10 ribs and punctured my lung along with other injuries. I was on morphine for a few days in the step down unit and then oramorph and tramadol which worked well for the pain and just put me to sleep most of the time.

When I came out of hospital I was prescribed tramadol and took them for a couple of weeks but then a friend warned me of the side effects and I stopped taking them. They really are highly addictive and I personally couldn't get negative thoughts out of my head when taking them (this is common evidently).

They are a great pain killer but I would only take them now if there really was no alternative.

We were on a biker rally in Macclesfield a number of years ago...

Zoë found a hippie stall selling ‘green cookies’

    She bought three.

    These things were 4” diameter

She noshed the lot in no time

    She’d never eaten cannabis before....

Was totally off her tits all day :laff:

Don't get on with Tramadol myself but had an awful lot of Metazanol and Morphine over the last couple of months and they made me feel a bit weird and had some very strange and vivid dreams.

Tramadol is good for pain but it doesn’t make me sleepy
All I want to do is murder people when I’m taking it and then top myself when I’ve stopped taking it
And this can happen even when taking for a few days
I find if I take it more than five days it has these effects on me
So on fifth day I usually stop the tramadol and just stay in and sweat and shake the addiction away then usually I then take cocodamol
It’s horrible having the tramadol dt,s but kidney stones are agony and it’s about the only thing that works apart from iv morphine , but they tend not to let you home with iv morphine

I will ask the obvious question then - why don't you have your kidney stones removed?

A couple of years ago I was prescribed Tramadol for pain relief. . The pills didn't get close to relieving any pain but they gave me some extreme dreams which went to some very dark and scary places........ and then, when waking up, I was dazed, confused and didn't know where I was, plus the dreams continued while awake -- hallucinations were vivid and plentiful -- and it became impossible to distinguish between being awake and asleep.
I didn't take too many of those wretched pills. . Also, it took a few days before the stuff had finally faded from my blood stream.

Sadly, there are no tests which can be conducted prior to taking any medication. From a doctor's view, it is a case of "bung it in and see what happens". . and if it has adverse side-effects, they will try something else. And if the next one has adverse side-effects, they just keep going down the menu hoping there will be a drug which works.
Sometimes (many times) the pills do more harm than good. Be careful out there.

    A) they don't cut your kidneys up to remove them.
    B) some people are stone-makers and just make more.

You have my sympathies if they are unable to remove your stones - i had mine out in Feb and the run up to the op was an unpleasant experience to say the least.

Those Co-dydramol 30-500's are pretty strong, i have severe arthritis in my left elbow (due to an injury 36 years ago. I have been on the 10-500's for three years & packed them in a month ago, it felt like my brain was fogged up & it made me feel awful. Back on 1 ibuprofen in morning & paracetamol & alternate them. Surgeon was surprised im on so little considering the damage.
Im in for an op to remove broken off lumps & give it a clean out on friday so that will be interesting.

What I’m noticing about Tramadol is concerning....

Yes, they definitely take the blinding screaming burning agony away...

trust me the red raw flesh exposed on my shin is absolute agony.. all the nerve endings are alive and functioning but the skin has broken down and rotted away leaving the flesh exposed and on fire...

The Tramadol really ease this pain, it subsides in twenty minutes or so in an ebbing wave fashion until barely an itch is felt...

I’m left feeling so very tired...I nod off sat in my chair. Driving after taking these is a definite no go.

What’s worrying me is I’m starting to really look forwards to taking them... same sensation as that first cigarette in the morning....

I know these things are very addictive but I’ve only been on them for five days :(

I certainly don’t want to end up like Dr Gregory House and addicted to pain drugs!!

Did you have stones surgically removed from the kidney then?
I was under the impression that fitting a stent to help pass them was the only surgical option...
The only other procedure I was aware of was the possibility of shattering them with ultrasound so they could be passed?
