1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

To close this box once you've read it (and the Rules), click on the X in the top right-hand corner.

    Thank you.

Never had nor shot a 97 in .177, mine was a .22 and shot alright. As they say, ignorance is bliss, I never took mine apart to see if it was as badly (un)finished as others had found them to be.

Good on you mate, keep on with the TX and hope it all goes well.
Funny thing but I've never shot a TX, come a day.

Now you are missing something, I loved the looks of the 97 but just for the life of me couldn't get on with it, I have no idea what the issue was and probably never will, I've just put it down as one of life's little experiences, not a mistake I'll be making again I might add... :thumb:

My 97kt shoots spot on for a springer, all I have done to it is polish the internals and it shoots like a dream.
Having said that it is .22 and I think you are the same as me and just cant shoot the more snappy .177.
I must say though I have had a TX and could not get on with it at all, I think it was because it was a .177.

Yes, I've come to the conclusion that me and .177 don't have a particularly good understanding...
