1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

They're going to be hard to move on quickly because of the uniqueness of them, Likely be stashed or dumped when the perp realises.

How does it go! - I hope their next **** is a hedgehog!

That's the terrible reality, theft is often perpetrated by people who know you - so called friends or neighbours.

We used to have a smack head living opposite us who would sit day and night in a high window with binoculars watching everyone's moves, he knew I was watching him back and subsequently my house is one of very few in the street that has not been turned over.

CCTV,LED IR security lights and also making my neighbours properties either side are safe and secure with a little DIY has stood us in good stead over the years.

Yes guys i know about that one, once had my house emptied by letting slip that I would be away for a week. I mean REALLY emptied !!
Bacause of this I am careful about that kind of thing now,got nosey neighbours so they all keep their eyes open here. I was out unusually late but even I didn't have details of when I would be back.
I have a very small circle of friends and totally trust every one of them, also know a few not so trustable people so i make sure (as far as I can) that they don't know where I live let alone when I am out.
I don't work set hours so unless someone is watching very closely......
They only took the rifles so they must have been after them, left a laptop on the window where they got out !
I don't flash them about, having said that I posted a pic on facebook of them so maybe thats how it came about ?
I really just don't know about this, and as you see they are distinctive so anyone targeting guns (yes I know !) should know this and should know they won't move on easily.
Who knows how these individuals think ??

    Rich,

I think you just found your advertisement of your guns and downfall right there mate - FB!

I keep telling my lad to stop doing it but he poses with the rifles and posts pictures on there.... :frusty:

If you have the GPS function of your phone enabled and make a comment it automatically displays the metadata of your location, If your not at home... bingo to the burglar!

Forward the picture and details to local gun dealers too , as some thieving little bag heads got caught out around here by trying to sell them to the local gun smiths . And yea as people have stated , someone has had their eye on them either via Facebook or someone around the are have noticed you with them as you go to your vehicle or some sort .

I've had a break in here once which was a waste of time ! Whoever it was had clearly panicked and legged it as the alarms went off .

All my rifles including air rifles are stored in my cabinet along with a sensitive alarm if anyone tampers in anyway with the cabinet . Even some of my friends I don't trust 100% as I've experienced some one that I thought that was a friend but really done one over on me ha .

Hope you get hold of them !

Sorry to hear that bud, I've just had my shed cleaned of 2 welders and a couple of grand worth of other equipment. Makes you sick! You work hard to buy nice things and some waste of skin goes and swipes it for himself!

I'm in Birmingham but I'll keep an eye out, there's always a chance!

Ill definitely keep an eye out mate, not easily missed stealths so Ill remember those.

I don't know country is going to pots, in the old faith in the bill seems very weak at actually finding the culprits, so I would go on every gun/hunting website possible and raise the alarm as word of mouth will be the way to go on this I think, the more knows the better chance you have of finding them, or getting a lead to those who did the crime, then tell the poilice when you have their names or whereabouts.

ATB mate, hope to get somewhere, I hate thieves with a passion, once had all my fishing tackle stolen from my garage a lifetimes worth, I was gutted.
