1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Don't do it if it's bad for you - so thats your big answer to the problem?
If it was this easy no-one would ever eat junk food or smoke / drink etc.

The planet I am living on is the one where I understand that since the dawn of time mankind has explored many different ways of altering his state of consciousness and this will never end.

To deny this impulse is to deny human nature - a characteristic of society which leads to so many problems we have today.

Look at Portugal - they decriminalised all drugs years ago and as a result have seen rates of addiction fall along with less crime and less deaths. You can't ignore the cold hard facts.

Mate, I was beaten black and blue as a kid by a stepfather, I've lived on the street, slept on park benches and all sorts but always manage to keep myself reasonably respectable and now I've got a good wife and 5 brilliant kids, my point is with my past I could easily have gone down the route of drink and drugs and still be living on the street or even dead etc, so what's her excuse !!!

The kids I feel sorry for !!!

She wont be the first to died by taking drugs and she won't be the last why she started taking drugs we don't no. it's a shame but she new the consequences and what could happen tragically she's paid the ultimate price for her addiction and through her stupidly taking drugs she's left to kids and her family to pick up the pieces it is a tragedy but like In said she's not the first person to die on drugs and she won't be the last I only hope the kids don't go down the same road

:rolleyes:Yes, I do deny that - and the evidence would support me.

Forget Portugal? You mean forget the best case study in drug policy change in the 21st century? And do what exactly - cling on to old stereotypes and misinformation gained through mainstream media, tv and gossip?

I think you have made your position here quite clear - in the face of evidence stick your fingers in your ears and do the 'lalala I'm not listening' routine.

. how I hate the bloody stupid overused phrase on this site..'Do Gooder'... WTF does it even mean? Someone who is striving for goodness?

Also taking the p**s out of someone because they are more educated on a certain subject than yourself is pretty childish.

I do apologise if my comments are frustrating or annoying, that is certainly not my intent and perhaps the 'lalala I'm not listening' jibe was a little off but it was meant tongue in cheek.

The fact of the matter is that I know a fair bit about the realities of drugs and their effects as well as the mass of dis-information that surrounds them.

Of course, there will be those who's individual experiences, if taken in isolation, will paint an entirely different picture but lets face it - one person can tuck into a pack of peanuts and have a tasty treat while another person will go into anaphylactic shock and die on the spot. This is why we need to look at the broader picture to get a realistic understanding of the facts.

When you look at the overall facts, my points stand.

Hey . Gents . can we just all agree that we disagree on this subject and not fall out over it . iv read things on this post from some guys whos posts i normally enjoy and who i know in person . Frankly the general response saddens me and that takes a bit . can we all agree that its terrible when the path of life goes the wrong way . It happens . im not religious but i find it distasteful to speak ill of the dead .Can you imagine where her Fathers head is at it right now ! talk about bad things happening to good people !!!!!!!!Sir Bob , kn working mans hero music legend Look at all the good his charity work has done , saved so many and is now having to deal with losing his daughter . Even the poor lost kids that become junkies and die become celebrities in moments . bloody tinternet twitter face book world we live in :( Im quite sure we would discuss this in person by a camp fire ( my natural environment ) with more compassion . can we get above the anonymity of the on line world and just agree its awful when anyone looses there way like that . I hope one day when our days are done . We all get to rest in Peace

The family already had a horrendously tragic history - it didn't need any more. Personally I don't give a monkey's for celebrity culture, but a life cut short is a life cut short - and at such a young age was a waste. It is particularly sad that the tragedy has gone full circle.
