  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

Right guys im thinking about getting a pump-up rifle. Ive been thinking about it for a while and ive owned a SMK B45-3 in the past which, for the money, actually shot OK it's just it was as about as reliable as a handbrake on a canoe! It blew seals for fun so I wont be getting another. Ive saw some of the Crosman pump ups which again seem to be ok but they seem to mostly have plastic stocks. I've narrowed it down to either a Sharp Innova or Sharp Ace. I know they are more expensive but seem to be much more reliable and also well made and are accurate. Which would you go for? I always thought the Ace looked better than the Innova but the Innova seems to have more of a following. Due to there being no mainspring twang I would quite like to have a silencer on it which I understand is a little more complicated on the Innova if it doesnt come with the adaptor? Just wondering what you guys have or would go for and why? Cheers :)

I have a Crosman model one which has wood stock and foregrip it's lovely and an old model 140 which is all wood that shoots great some of the older 766 have wood stock and foregrip those are all Crosmans. Some of the crosman/Sheridan pump ups can be adjusted up to produce fac powers so should be able to do anything you want.

Thank Matty and Jolo Bolo those seem quite nice and ive heard good things about them. All the benjamin sheridans ive seen seemed to be in .20. I was really looking for an Innova or Ace but people seem to be wanting funny money for them. I dont mind paying for something thats worth it but not being ripped off :(

The Ace is the more expensive of the two, but the Innova is a nice, pointable rifle to :)

The sharp ace is by far the better made gun with more steel being used than plastic. It looks better and the wwodwork is better also. The sharp innova was a true budget rifle with its plastic breech and foresight etc, the wood is awfull on an innova as well. In practice they are about the same in performance though.
It boils down to this :- the sharp ace is more rare and collectable, the innova is more abundant and just as shootable. If i was going to have one for everyday use it would be the innova. They are a lot lighter and a little bit shorter. Expect to pay £125 to £200 for a good innova. Expect a long wait and be prepared to splash the cash for an ace.

All the innova clones are very poor quality and there are hundreds. You can still buy the original sharp innova today but they are £350 and the same shops are selling clones for £35. check out "sharp innova long barrel" on google you will see what i mean.

They havent been sold in britain for a lot of years. The goverment doesnt like multi pump pneumatics because they were easy to over power. Solware tried unsuccesfully to import the puma innova and had to sell them off as FAC. I fancy a webley rebel though provided they arent very cheap and nasty.

Have you any more info on the new Webley at all Moley?
Had an Innova and an Ace "in the day" and have wished many a time I,d not parted with them especially the Ace.
The prospect of a new multi-pump does interest me a lot

As ive stated before the original sharp innova was cheap and nasty but the chinese copies bring low quality to a whole new level. The long barrel innova is one of the copies that does have a bit of quality control. Tiger innova and puma innova were really cheap plastic and often had nasty cheap smooth bore barrels.

    Interesting thread chaps.:)

The Innova is the 'Cheap and Cheerful' rifle of the Sharp range, but don't underestimate it! Yes there is a lot of plastic on it, but it's good quality plastic that has stood the test of time. From an engineering perspective it is a better designed gun than the Ace. (IMHO)
The Innova utilises a lightweight barrel in a secure breech housing, the Ace has a heavy firearms quality barrel that is only secured by three tiny screws at the front end, and a screw at the rear end. This configuration is prone to working it's way loose over a period of time, thus affecting accuracy and power, naturally this problem can be resolved by thread locking compound, but it can still be an issue.

A bog standard Innova without it's original rear sight, and in need of some TLC might command a price of £120+, a tidy Innova £150 or so. Excellent to mint Innova's complete with rear sight and original front sight with hood, around the £200 mark, and easily more.

Ace in average condition without original rear sight or front sight (Sadly most are like this) £200+.
A nice Ace without front and rear sights around the £250 mark, and easily more.
An Ace with it's front and rear sight (Very hard to find) £300+, and the nicer untampered with models command a higher price, a MINT Ace (with both it's sights) and boxed would possibly achieve £400 or there abouts.

Then we have the even rarer Sharp Victory and Pan Target models.........Want to take out a second mortgage? ;):D

    Just what he said !
I have about 7, Innova,s , 2 Are chromed , An average to poor Ace ( Mechanically perfect ) Left, As I am selling up,
No offers Pls, I,ll go through the appropriate channels ?

As was said, The Innova was a cheap ( But great gun ) However the plastic will be its demise !

The Ace, Sheridan , & Even the Crosman 400 are great rifles, In my opinion ! With the 12 Fpe Limit, I would say the Crosman 400 Repeater !!!! ( With its 10 shot capability , In .22 ONLY, & Adjustable Co2 power up to 11 Fpe , & 2 stage power option & 40+ shots from 2 Co2 carts is the best, ) Its 50 years old & will last forever !

Prices ! ( What Old Jud said , He should know, He has had enough ? ) Ged.

Here are a few of what I still have, Including the " Very Rare " Chrome " 1966 model Sheridan, ( Its not a Silver Streak ) Its Chrome !
