1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Even if this is just your own personal opinion, RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS.'

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

well just on 3 mths ago I was out with the wife and kids, as well as the inlaws at a charity night
they all left and I finished me drink and left 10 mins later to walk the mile home
half way home I was apparently jumped from behind and robbed
my phone, wallet and all cards taken
only reason I wasn't killed is the scummy gits did it out side a school ( 11.45 at night)
my wife works at the said school and her friend that lives opposite sent her 17yr old son out to chase em up the road, he didn't catch em but they were both arrested within 10 mins with all my stuff on them,
7 SKULL fractures, a smashed up eye socket and broken nose, along with 10 stitches to my face but it was the bleed on the brain that made the police come take all my guns for 6 wks., me telling the police I was gonna find them and shoot them did not help my request to keep them here lol, , I recall zero of the whole thing including air helicopter ride to neurological emergency department at Southampton hospital, BUT the biggest pain is the dvla stopping my driving licence for 6 months because of the brain injury, im totaly back and 100% fit again just no sense of smell or taste,
but I went on a bit of a spending healing session and now have pulsar thermal with rangefinder trail scope and a pard 007 nv, , 2k metal lathe and milling machine, trouble is I have 21 perms in total and getting to them is a right workout, get me driving licence back on 25th feb , im told by the police that one of the smelly gits was let out by mistake from a mental institution and il be good for a wad of compo, all I really want is my bloody driving licence as im self employed builder working for my self , but hey ho might get some women's make up for xmas , and a skateboard to get me around lol 73145410_921308274935102_8773834371376349184_n.jpg

Life is a total lottery at times, for no reason you might be in the wrong place at the wrong time and s**t happens. Main thing is you're on the mend. Don't dwell on it, enjoy xmas and look forward to the new year, you can't change what has happened but you can make the best of the new year, they can't, feck 'em and forget 'em. Good luck.

I was getting a hiding from 4 fellas some years ago, during the assault where I feared for my life I fought back as much as possible and one of the attackers got quite hurt. I ended up in court and was on the end of a pretty serious charge all for defending myself from 4 drunken yobs. Still boils my blood to this day :mad:

Good to see your on the mend though.

Bloody awful. It makes my blood boil. To hell with mental hospitals, people like that should be in prison.
Good to hear that the initial urge to get them has given way to positive thoughts about getting back to normal. The very best of luck in reaching your goals.

Really sorry to hear this, your lucky and unlucky in equal doses

Scum like this should get put to sleep, but there are so many bleeding hearts about how they come from a broken home - I still don't actually understand why that makes it ok for them to do the kind of crap they do and get away with it

Look after yourself and spend what you can on the things you enjoy, you have already witness too closely how easily everything you have worked hard for all your life can be taken away. :thumb:

The bleeding hearts always think they can fix these types with some nice talk. Until we are able to pop the top on our skulls and change the plugs the wires, we won't ever change a person with a defective brain.

I'm sorry to hear about this, but glad you got your stuff back and they got caught. I hope the recovery goes smooth and any compensation would be wisely spent .

In a street fight unless you really know how to handle yourself numbers will always win. Surprise and 'violence of action' amplify that.

I am so sorry for you. I don't like driving and once remember joking with a friend who had to stop driving for medical reasons that he was lucky. It was a poor joke really and not funny. We are so dependent on driving it is ridiculous.

Fecking Hell Happy, I'm so sorry to hear that. Yet another Hampton Wick let out early to cause severe injury.
These Bar Stards need a damned good hiding to show them what it's like to be on the receiving end.
Still, looking on the bright side, you've treated yourself so enjoy.
One word of warning, you state you've lost all sense of taste & smell..........................saves you from your lady wife's dodgy cooking until you get the two bob bits.:D
Wish you well chum and you got to look forward to the end of February.
