1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

I have just bought my first rifle, its a Weihrauch HW100 sporter .177 full length, when we are at the club, my missus does not have an issue as the rifle rests on the wooden stand, but when she tries to shoulder the rifle, she seems too small for it, the butt seems to long, and she cant get comfy..
so i am looking for another rifle for her, she wants a mulitshot and im keen to stick to Weihrauch as they seem really well built, also we would have the same quickfill etc.. as im not overly farmilliar with the weihrauch range, what would you guys suggest ?
    cheers Rob :)

Carbines only have a shorter barrel. The stock sizes are the same. Maybe consider taking an inch or two off the stock for her? This is what folk tend to do for kids with shorter arms, though they also tend to do it with cheap springers as apposed to top of the line PCP's.

No it doesn't have to be thumb hole rob, the action (barrel) is shorter and the fore end on the stock is slightly shorter but the but piece is the same
the thumb hole cut out may make the rifle lighter

my gun is the top one (karbine)
My lads is the bottom one (full rifle)

the difference in lengthy isn't big but my stock stops where the camo wrap ends and my lads is just slightly longer stock wise
however the overall length in guns is about 4 inch different

I know you say you would prefer another HW but what about a Falcon Lighthunter a lot smaller and lighter and more suitable for the fairer sex. As for filling all you need is the quick coupler set from Best fittings at £20 to use on both airguns or future airguns. Link below. Steve

Link to someone that has just restored a Falcon FN12 lighthunter on the forum below

thanks guys, and as its a brand new £750 rifle, im not going to cut the stalk  but yes, i agree with you,
as for the Falcon Lighthunter grumpy, if she dosent like the thumbhole, thes gonna hate the lighthunter mate..pretty ugly beast imho. plus its only a single shot.
i guess il just have to get a second hand rifle, and cut the stalk.
    cheers rob

AirArms S200 might be worth looking at and you can turn it into a multishot.

Get her to a Gunshop to shoulder the AA 410 carbine. My missus shoots mine and it's light enough even for my 15 year old daughter to shoot. Good looking gun too!

I've an AA s410 carbine, I just shouldered my mates hw100 today, one thing I noticed too was the weight difference (mines lighter even with a bipod fitted), but also the length from butt to trigger seemed to be longer. Might be something to look at, theyre both great rifles, but off the shelf, she may find the S410 more manageable.
