Hey everyone - just signed up.

My name's James by the way.

So anyway, I'm just posting to ask if anyone has some recommended PCP ideas for me. I've had a look around and I've come up with the Gunpower Shadow .22 because of its high shot capacity.

I need something that'll last me when I'm out and about with it, because I can't really afford a stirrup pump or divers bottle, and it's a really long way to the nearest gun shop (about 20 miles away) so I can't go there very often.

    Any ideas?

I'm basically looking for a full power PCP with high shot capacity - and I have a budget of about £400 although I'd rather spend about £350.

    Thanks alot,

    James.

Your making that a tough one to pick :p

    lol

I could reccomend a Theoben Rapid or something, which have good shot capacity expecially if regulated, except its in the region of £700

    or

I could reccomend an AirArms s410, which is around that price, but has a shot capacity of <80 i think...

I think the best you can try for (I dont know anything about gunpower so i cant reccomend or advise) is to look for a second hand theoben rapid, and see if you can haggle it down to that price....

    Hope this helped.

    Hi James

What about the stealth and storm both very much like the shadow but slightly cheaper, you might be as well to look for a second hand model and buy an extra bottle that way you would have over a 1000 shots. :)

    Yeah I could try that.

Will I be able to use a stirrup pump with a Gunpower? I really don't want to go to the trouble of getting a diving tank thing.

I think ... I had the BSA Supersport back then, this post must've been before I got the Longbow, I didn't actually get a PCP for ages, suppose I was too scared (the costs!) - thinking about it, why was I looking for a PCP back then anyway, I'd only just got my first air rifle which was a springer  can't remember

I've had 5 air rifles, that includes the one I have now, I've also kept 2 for other people ... and I've had 2 air pistols

Best not keep posting in here a1, people might get confused: this is a very old thread, don't reply with advice!

Sounds good, don't call them chinks though someone may be offended, you know how things are these days, best to call them oriental masters or something like that :D
