1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Thinking of selling my Logun Dominator in .22

The barrel has been professionally shortened and re-crowned, it has a SAK moderator on at the moment, a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC in decent mounts and it will come with one magazine.

Scope is mint, gun has a few marks from much use in the field but there is no corrosion or other nonsense.

Operates flawlessly, over 90 shots per fill   lightweight, robust, three power settings (just under 6, 9 and 12 FPE) and has accounted for a lot of rabbits for me:

Also thinking of selling my HW95 Luxus in .22 - this is the barrel weight version.

Gun was bought new a few months ago, immediately stripped, top hat and spring guide made to fit, spring shortened and polished ends, debur on the cocking slot, all-in-all a nice little fettle

It's shot no more than 40 pellets - none before the fettle and the rest following it, just to settle things down a bit.

Around 11.2 FPE and incredibly consistent - it currently has a quality one piece mount and a gorgeous little Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75-5x32 scope on top. Metalwork is totally unmarked but there are two small marks on the left side of the stock.

I realise the scope may not be to everyone's tastes and, frankly, I'd rather keep it myself than include it as a full rig just for the sake of it.

Here it is wearing a different scope, which has since been sold:

I originally bought it to give to a friend who has been having a rough time of things rcently, but he went and bought an Ultra while I wasn't watching (tacky and tasteless git  ) so this is surplus to requirements given that I already have a very tuned .20 HW95

The Dominator has been made redundant by the recent acquisition of a Logun Gladiator which is ostensibly the same gun with about 5 times the shot count  and, as I've already mentioned, I have another HW95, and an HW99, Theoben Sirocco, etc,.

I don't need the money - I could keep them but, if I do, I won't use them, so what's the point ?

Thoughts on realistic valuation on both of the above much appreciated.

    Thanks for looking :)

All guns are worth what someone will pay, its up to the owner to advertise them for what they think they are worth and work from there.

I always feel bad commenting on threads like this because if someone was to give you a valuation lots less than what you thought, people can take offense, I know I would if someone valued my guns because I know what they are worth as I only do mint.

You must have a rough idea of what your after for them, going on what you paid.

So Ill reserve judgement of pricing because you can never tell from a picture they are always different in the flesh.

I will say they both look in good nick! remember you can always come down if they don't sell straight away.

Thanks gasman for your suggested figures. Food for thought.

@ enraver: believe me, I shan't be in the least bit offended. Life's too short for that sort of nonsense...

Strictly speaking the Logun cost me nothing - it came as a replacement for another gun.

I know what the HW95 cost originally and the work and resources that have since gone into it but that doesn't tell me what I ought I to be asking now.

Clearly, if someone says they're worth twenty quid, I reserve the right to disregard their advice and/or suspect their motives ;)

I paid £200 posted for my HW95; it had had a Dave Hall tune and came without a scope, but it also had a HW moderator which had been tweaked and had a weight added. The rifle was in a standard stock, unlike yours.

I would guess that yours would go for between £200 and £230 with the scope.

I think twenty quid is a bit steep really but if you're including postage, I will give you £20 for both! :D

That would be a bit of an ouch - I think I'd rather it gathered dust than sell for 40%, so if things are that bad it can go and stand in a corner of the cabinet.

    Ummmmm, no, thanks :)

Cheers for the input people - I'm not sure how much further forward this puts me but it's given me something to think about.
