rapid leaks

    left my rapid for a couple of weeks with 100 bar of pressure in bottle went to check yesterday completely empty . refilled to 150 bar overnight not lost any air do you think possibly dirty o ring or has any one got any other thoughts

    You could try cleaning/replacing the o ring and leave it at 150 bar for a few days and then test it to see if any has been lost. If that fails and it is still losing pressure, I would reccomend you leak test it and/or get it serviced.

    I have checked for leaks couldnt find any put new o ring on but i will leave it for a few days the gun is only one year old so shouldnt really want a service thanks TC

    Have you tried putting a balloon over the end of the barrel to see if the air is escaping from the gun.

    yip tried all leak tests just seems strange one of leak just hope it is the o ring on the bottle my worry was the bottle was completely empty

    hi tomcat, had a rapid once that dumped air when the bottle was really
    low, coulld you not have a grain of dust on the valve, if i were you i would have your bottle checked out and serviced, are you a beginner at this game mate , as im sure the more experienced members will take you under their wing and put you on the right track ! ....rockabilly

    yes lads just having abit frisk with tomcat , what he does"nt know
    about air guns isnt worth knowing ,hes a good lad ,not as good looking as me but in the 1950 s when he was in his 20s was known to be a bit
    of a babe magnet, "what" i hear you say , but believe it , its true !

    Well every thing seems ok left 150 bar a couple of days checked again spot on must have been o ring dirty
