1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Some nice shots, however... on the last rabbit.. "put it about there, should be right...I think"... if your not 100% sure do not take the shot, we have a responsibility to humanly dispatch out quarry, not injure by lack of knowledge.... on this occasion the strike can be seen missing the rabbit above the bar...
Any target below zeroing POI, "Hold Under" above zeroing POI, "Hold Over" Hold over/under depends on the distances

Yes I was 50/50 at the time, more because it was very young than anything, and with hind sight maybe shouldn’t have taken the shot as it was only 5 yards away, although as it was so small a rabbit at that range any head contact would have killed it. I think the pellet maybe struck the wire and deflected up onto the bar as usually you have to hold over a few mil dots at short range, though what was harder to judge was the reticle isn’t a true 10x mil dot and is smaller hence my aim on target. Me saying “about right there” was my commentary on the video recorded afterwards, not at the time, when I was shooting I placed the crosshairs where I thought was correct for the distance as I was on 5x magnification

    Irresponsible!!
Targets below your zero... Hold Under!!
Although our quarry are usually vermin, pests they should be given a little more than 50/50...
Time on the range is never wasted, place targets out from 5yds 10/15/20 and get to know the POI for the distances.....

“Targets below your zero... Hold Under!!”

    Incorrect!!!

For very close targets before your secondary zero you have to hold over as the pellet hasn’t risen to the line of sight.

When I said I was 50/50 it was more about the age of the rabbit than anything, and as I was shooting at 5x magnification I didn’t calculate my hold over as much as I should have done

YOU ARE CORRECT!!!... I applied my dynamics, I zero at 60m, max distance for any shot is 100m, Hold Over obviously employed... the min distance for any shot for me is 20m where Hold Under is employed,
Sub 12lbs at that short distance is Hold Over, in future I will either keep quiet or get a sub 12lbs so I know what im talking about...

This is the rifle that I'm hoping to get my hands on when they become readily available (I'd like to try one first obviously). I'm hoping the lighter weight will enable me to continue shooting a little longer (before the arthritis stops me altogether).

New adverts going up soon for my R10 and HW100 . . .

It is very nice, a lightweight scope would be a big help though as my X-Sight is a bit of a beast obviously as it’s got a built in battery pack, but something like a little Airmax or a 4x32/3-9x40 would be perfect on it for a lightweight gun. The only thing is having to have high mounts to clear the magazine, or you could use a single shot loader or the Streamline mini mags also fit.

Thanks. Just hope FX can make enough to go round as it seems there’ll be a demand for them, I want the Tactical kit for it with the adjustable stock and more importantly Picatinny rail so I can swap the scopes with my Impact easier

I took the Impact out yesterday evening to try and bag the last few rabbits under the container before they sink it! I’ll have the video up in a day or two, and there’ll be a little something at the end for you guys.....
