1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Even if this is just your own personal opinion, RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS.'

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. No longer allowed Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- We now do not allow political and religion threads anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section) unless Airgun related and they must be put in the Airgun related politics section..

Staff will not move posts for you if you put it in the wrong section – it will simply be deleted. You will then have to type it all out again and put it in the right place, so heed this warning.

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

    Morning all.

I am going to miss the deadline I'm afraid, I've not had a chance even to practise yet!
When I've had time the weather is sh*te, with good weather I've not had time. So sorry :(
Maybe I could carry it over until the next comp?

It's up to Simon and the others but for what it is worth I am in no hurry and would be happy to wait for all entries to be returned.

I have had another chap ask to join this weekend (from on here). I have had 3 entries back so far, so I am going to say this is the last chance for entry calls. Then I want them all back by a certain date, which we'll agree between us. Let this new chap have a chance to get his targets, then we'll go from there. I have to say, there is a clear leader at the moment, and it is sickening!

    Afternoon.

Finally a break in the weather!!!

Rattled off a few practise shots and the comp card.

1st shot went very well, I was excited!! The rest... Well...not so good.
This is a pic of the 1st shot - no kidding, it really was that perfect! The rest were miles off though - I won't be troubling the leaderboard! IMG_20181201_150917.jpg

    This is the rifle used:

1919 BSA Light Pattern, bought from @GMballistic on here about this time last year.

    IMG_20181201_150333.jpg IMG_20181201_150344.jpg

I used AA Fields 4.52 (coz I've got loads hanging around)

The video didn't work out so well, you can't see me in it (which might be a good thing!) But I will try and link it on here.

Now it's gone BACK again as was leaking from the cylinder.

Sadly I think I am unlikely to complete the challenge this time :-(

If you do another I'm up for it!

Back from the USA now. A couple more targets have arrived, but I am going to take one person to task.... sending the target back with insufficient postage on it, so it has cost me £3 to retrieve it. I will photograph the envelope along with the targets. Those who are sending in for this Friday - if it doesn't have the correct postage and we get a ticket saying there is an item to collect that needs extra payment - sorry, I will not be collecting it. PUT THE CORRECT POSTAGE ON PLEASE FOLKS.

Simon, as I have a brain like a sieve, and there can't be too many people have entered this competition, then there has to be a reasonably high chance it was me. If so I apologise in advance and will repay the postage charges you incurred.
Knowing how high are the standards of most members of this forum, I'm sure if it isn't me then anyone else would do the same.

No need to do that chap - but thank you for the offer. But I am not paying out for all of them!

Last day to get the targets back today, so I will photograph the targets against a white background so you can all see the holes and the target.

    Thank you. It happens!

Waiting to see if it's repairable or being replaced, they don't rush these things do they?

Looking forward to seeing the results though... :thumb:
