90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

So OK, My first 'Poll' related thread. I emailed JSB RE: a lighter .20 cal pellet, 5.01 dia as per the current 13.7gr Exact pellets available. Why? Because my new(ish) HW100 .20 likes the Exacts the best. Weighing them I find many in the tin are heavier. I've closed down the size of my grouping by splitting them into groups of something like 'within a grain and a third'. I would love JSB to supply 5.01 dia 12 - 12.5gr pellet, more to the point, I think my barrel might.

My initial email to JSB from their 'contacts' listed email:

    "Hello,
my UK 16J hw100 loves your 5.01 Exacts but would love a slightly faster / lighter .20 cal pellet even more. Are you aware that the Bisley Supafield is no longer imported into the UK? This creates an opening in the .20 cal pellet market for JSB as now the only light .20 cal pellet is the Field Target Trophy.

Could you please help us .20 cal fans out by producing a 12 - 12.5 grain / 0.777g - 0.809g pellet, most probably a 5.01 variant of the Exact.

    Thanks for your time!"

Got a reply the same day! I was impressed with that! (PS- Above - Yep I tried to 'butter them up' a bit with the demise of the .20 Supafield…)

    "Hello (err, Me),
Thanks for your e-mail. We have considered lighter version of our .20 Exacts many times. We just released a heavier .20 Exacts for FAC rifles. Our next project in this caliber would definitely be a lighter pellet.
    Thanks for your patience.
    Best regards,"
    XXXXX

I've left out the name for now in the hope this thread/poll helps motivate JSB!

My reply (to a more personal JSB email address)

    "Hi XXXXX,
RE: lighter .20 cal pellet, would a rough timescale be out of the question? I'm surprised you found a market for a heavier .20 cal pellet but guessing USA as some of their pump up guns are probably capable of 20J or more. I appreciate a new die must be made but if pellet manufacturers supplied a better range of.20 cal pellets for countries with restricted power outputs more options of .20 cal guns might follow.
I don't see the point in owning a restricted / 16J .22 airgun and I believe some countries have lower power limits than the UK. With no power restriction I would probably just buy a .22 airgun due to the range of pellet / pellet weights already available.
    Thanks for your prompt reply!"

Again, a 'same day' reply....(2nd day)

    "Hi (err, Me, again),
You are absolutely right. The demand for heavier .20 pellets comes from USA shooters. And I also agree that if there is a better choice of pellets in this caliber it may attract more shooters to own a gun in this caliber so more airgun producers will offer guns as well…
We will do this for sure but we have to finish other projects first.
    Best regards,
    XXXXX"

I've left it there for now as they have 'other projects' and decided now was as good a time as any to start this thread. Well at least I tried! A rough timescale would have been helpful but must appreciate the rules of supply and demand for a major player in producing pellets.

Comments welcome. For non .20 cal airgunners, would you consider a .20 cal (non FAC) if more pellets and airguns were available?

Not sure how to take their response if I’m honest...

Yes I do... I don’t think we will see anything anytime soon, sounds like you were sidestepped a little if I’m honest. Sorry buddy.

I would like to see a JSB variant of the .20 FTT weight but I think the .20 market is chicken and egg. Not enough guns being made in .20 so pellets aren’t made for them. Probably not enough pellets being made due to not enough guns...

I’ve got two rifles in .20, both PCP’s. A selection of lighter pellets would sure fire get me looking at .20 springers.

 Didn't realise I could vote in my own poll , don't forget to vote! I didn't realise the Predator Polymag was a JSB pellet. JSB .20 Pellets. Some of my Exacts were heavier than the Polymag. @mikeyhall1 you're probably right...

The limited range of .20 pellets is one reason for not buying one but tbh I don't see much advantage of 12gr .20 over JSB 10.34gr in .177

    My hw100s shoots 10.34
    My KT shoots 11.5
I love the 11.5 for hunting tbh, happier using them in the barn than the .177.
I much prefer a lighter pellet in .20 so for me I would like to see a 10.5 /11 grain Jsb express

My .177 bantam loves 10.3 grain (not weighed them) JSB Heavies. giving about 710 fps or about 11.5 ft/lbs. I think a 10.5 / 11 grain .20 pellet would be too light and power would be down too much. My HW100 is currently shooting the 13.7 grain Exacts at about 595 fps / about 10.7 ft/lbs. Only 25 fps more would produce 11.7 ft/lbs. I've started to be less concerned with the ft/lbs bit and focus on consistency of fps.

My KT shoots Jsb 625 fps and my ftt at 675fps so I wouldn't be worried.
I just did an hw100 tuning kit job on my KT and I am not quite sure why but since it has shot the lighter pellet at higher power
