Out of the two - PHOX!!!!!!

Numerous threads on here regarding faults and quality issues with the RM8 yet I've never seen one regarding the Phox.

The Phox is made by BSA, it has a BSA barrel and action and the only Gamo bit on it is the trigger really.

Aside from the two, I'd also consider keeping an eye on the second hand market for something better still but for the same money.

Of the two, I'd go for the Phox, there's one for sale at the moment, check the sales section :thumb:

I had a Pox, oh, sorry Phox and can vouch for them. As Mikey says its basically a reworked BSA with a bit of Spanish flavour. BSA cold forged barrel and BSA multi mag. The one I had had a hollow stock but accurate. If you buy the RM8 make sure there's a skip close by, it may be needed. They are not all bad but give a dog a bad name and all that.

8000 pellets through my RM8 and not a single problem, can't comment on the Spanish BSA as I've never used one. Given the high spec and low price of the RM8 I suspect it is one of the best selling PCP's and this is why you hear about certain problems with them, there are just so many of them out there that the handful that do go wrong get flagged up. As for my one it's been the most reliable PCP's I've ever owned bar none. But you might need a wheelbarrow to cart in round on though, they are a bit heavy.

    Hi

Out of the two a phox but I’d look for something else in the used market.
