1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I am so close to buying the 110 but I just keep hearing negativity about them.
Is it because lots are sold, are they not quite right, or is it- it can happen to any make?

Give me some positivity about the 110.........:bored:

It's a shame as we was really surprised at how good it was, it was stacking pellets on top of each other! Really accurate little thing, I'm sure this could happen to any rifle tbh. It's just frustrating to happen to a new rifle so soon

Isn’t this why new pcp guns come with a seal kit? My PP700w did, which was handy as it blew the seal on the fill valve, replaced the seal, now everything is peachy;)

It won’t be anything more than a simple O ring issue. All PCPs and Weihrauch designs rely on them to form HPA seals. It’s no bad thing O rings are cheap and easy to replace.
The issue with O rings is that they are not infallible. They are easy to damage sufficiently to break the air seal and you have no idea how old the O rings are that were used in the assembly of your rifle. The rifle assembly is new but the O rings could weeks months or even year old before they even see your rifle and you are relying on a tiny piece of rubber being perfectly made, stored and installed to ensure 100% performance.
If the rifle was performing as well as you say, get it repaired under warranty. 110s are normally reliable as sewing machines.....

Your not the first that this is happened to, personally I would of just got him a air arms s200. Everyone say other rifles are better but a trusty s200 will go on and on and blindingly accurate

There were many negative comments when the 110 was launched... scepticism about the use of plastics and objections from Weihrauch fans because it wasn't the bullpup they wanted... and more negativity when faults started to appear. Few critics mentioned that all but one of the faults apply also to the HW100, although the most prevalent problem - lubrication - manifested in a different form. All the issues have been fixed apart from the occasional fill valve leak (same as HW100) and the general poor quality assurance at Weihrauch. There have been questions about longevity given the use of plastics and quality of metal castings (not the machined internal components); wear so far has not been an issue.

The incidence of faults reported is now very low. You only have to do online searches and compare HW100 problems with HW110 problems to see there are many more with the former, and most with the latter relate to the early issues. If you are buying a gun made in 2018 or later you are no more likely to have problems than any other PCP - and a lot less than some!

I've had HW110s from 2016 and, although I had issues when new, my 2017 gun is performing well and gets used more than any of my other guns. It's not a gun I love (I'm not a fan of the looks) but it's a practical workhorse and I don't mind using it in any conditions.

The positives: compact, regulated, good air efficiency - better than HW100 or S410, so a higher shot count and consistency too.

You won't be the first, nor will you be the last, but there's not a lot wrong with the 110, it's just that you only really get to hear about the stinkers as people don't complain about the thousands of good ones, same as most products :thumb:

It could just be a cr@p o-ring or something. Plenty of cases of issues with new guns of all brands, but again, those with complaints shout the loudest online (not saying they're not entitled to!).

It'll be a great gun once sorted, I'm sure.

Haha I've spoken to the shop today and they're happy to send it back to have it fixed under warranty or i can choose something else, so I'm going with having it sorted as it's such a good little shooter. Thanks again :)

No, i took it back and he chose a brocock bantam mk2 instead. Imo a lot better, 250 shots per fill. Handles lovely. In the middle of pellet testing atm. But this is with crossman premier at 25yds. Its just under a 12mm group. (. 22 cal) going to test kaisers and standard weight jsb through it next. Sorry i can't help in regards to the 110. Although the girls in the shop reckon it would be around a week to be sorted.

You are entitled to a refund or replacement only within the first 30 days of purchase after which the seller has the right to send it back for repair under warranty.Obviously if the gun cannot be repaired successfully you are still entitled to a refund or replacement even if it's more than 30 days since it was purchased.
