1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I have been playing with the chrono this morning. Using 7.4 grain Econ 2 pellets, shots 1-80 are between 4.36 and 4.47 fpe, shots 81-110 are 4.42 to 4.59, 111-120 are 4.47 to 4.59, then it comes of the reg proper giving this for shots 121-140

Another play with the chrono, the power is definitely dropping but checkout the StdDev on the JSB Express. I am going to have a target test with them now, I ain't got many left in the tin but it will be interesting to see if they a better than the Diablos.

Sagalout you are a bad influence. I have now been forced to spend some of my hard earned on a HW44. Unfortunately I cant justify the savings on pellet cost as my reason , as mine is a .22 and the econs only seem to be available in .177, but I could not wait for a .177 to become available. It did come with a cottonpickets stock though.
Tried a reflex red dot but did not suit my eyes either , must be my age, but I did get a tiny laser which is great indoors.

Thank you very much, I do try :D They are great fun, very pointable. I have an airmax 2-7x32 on mine. I find the laser great fun occasionally. Enjoy!

Yep, well worth a decent pistol scope on one due to its capabilities.. I had my nv008 on mine other day, 20 yard resting on bipod - Cotton pickers stock and it was pellet on pellet.. ;)

A 44 will, one day, join my armoury having had a fondle of one last year but somebody is going to have to explain the advantages and disadvantages of pistol scopes, red dot scopes, laser scopes and anything else I’m clueless about. I don’t want a box full of kit I’ve used once and will never use again, all I want to do is plink between 10 and 30 mtrs and benefit from this pistol's amazing accuracy and my cack -handedness

@Inca, I use mine with a stock for plinking and have a rifle scope on it because that's the way it is with old eyes :(

If I am shooting indoors (7m) or close range outdoors (6-15m) I have the scope on 2 or 3x mag, but as I push out further (up to 26m so far) I have to up the magnification or I can't see the aim point. If I only wanted it for up to 10m I would look for a light, low mag scope but the other problem I have found with rifle scopes and close range is parallax and focus. The airmax does it all.

Thanks Sagalout, I’m thinking I’ll be using it more as a pistol and not a rifle therefore with it extended at arm's length. I’ve seen the stocks that are being made but it’s not for me. That being the case I am not sure if a rifle scope would work (unless advised otherwise). There are all these other siting widgets available but I know squat about them.

I don't think it would, I suspect a pistol scope is what you need but you need to get advice from somone who knows what they are talking about :)

Really impressed with my 44. Must admit after using Steyrs at the club over 10m I was worried how the Weihrauch would compare, accuracy wise, but first card was within 5% of my best ever score! At least half the fun derives from adding bits to the pistol, either singly or in combination - moderator, stock, Hawke micro reflex red dot sight - and seeing what effect they have. Only found two problems.....getting through a LOT of pellets and moans from fellow members at me hogging a firing point ( just jealousy I reckon)!

I would love to own another one but until they can sort out the moulding flaws on the base of the grip I'm out. If I'm going to spend that sort of money on a pistol I expect the finish to be perfect.

Could you take a pic of the base of it please. They may have improved the moulding process, fingers crossed.
