1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

After having my R8 a month or so I decided to sell my other PCP rather than just leave it to gather dust.. Any how I thought I would treat the R8 to a new Scope and a bipod :) well scoped fitted and im very impressed! could see the old fellas mole across the road crystal clear :D now lets fit this bipod.. opens pack checked it out.. looks decent! hmm but how can I fit it? no bloody stud in pack Grrrr! seriously you would think they sold them with a bloody stud to actually fit it to a rifle.. I mean the price they cost  & to make matters worse local RFD hasn't got any in :( I could cry lol.

Erm, so you were aiming your rifle at a bloke across the road?

No they don't come with studs I think they expect people to have slings fitted maybe. Try ebay if you don't mind waiting for postage?

Don't worry the rifle wasn't loaded and the old chap smiled at me when he noticed lol! Im just joking! I looked through the scope just after unboxing it when I first got home from shops :) they was a couple of chaps smoking out side the house directly across the street so I checked the focus and zoom out whilst having a brew.
kinda gutted over the stud.. was hoping to ditch my shooting sticks but I guess I can grin and bare a few more days with them.

I've never seen a bipod come with a stock stud. You generally buy the type of bipod that will fit your rifle's requirements (stud, weaver, or barrel mount)

Its my first time buying them & I wasn't aware about them not being packaged with a stud, I have always rested or shot from standing, only recently have I started using sticks after trying a friends.. seen that they are decent so I decided id grab a bipod to eliminate having to carry sticks.

If you do anything but lie on a bank waiting for rabbits to come out at extreme range, I would forget the studs and bipod - when it is fitted it only upsets the balance of the rifle. I gave up using a bipod years ago - even on the hill for deer at 600 yards I can live without it. It just meant I had to learn to hold the rifle correctly again - bipods breed bad habits! It always amuses me when you see folks using a bipod and holding the forened. :D

local RFD will only charge me £3 so il just wait for him to get them in.

its mainly for sitting position ie for sitting in a sit down hide the sticks where real handy but also on the chicken farm there is a hill that sits over looking when field that rabbits tend to run into so again the sticks come in handy when camped behind the bushes on top of it :) but for walk arounds when checking perimeter for the other rabbits or birds the sticks are just a faff on carrying..
