1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Lots of videos from the shot show, though some interest items I have noticed there’s not much new from the “mainstream” and “go to” firms we’re used to here.

Meh.. I suspect they'll all be grossly overpriced for the UK market and while more poke and PCP in preference to CO2 are going in the right direction, what's the point if the guns still won't hit the proverbial barn door..?

You never know We can live in hope but I wouldn't put more than a fiver on it being decent .Be nice to have an official well made accurate fast shooting combat style rifle just below the legal limit .
Some of the prices them American skirmishers pay are eye wateringly cheaper than ours .They really do think we were born yesterday .
They shoot themselves in the foot really as they would shift a lot more units over here if they wernt so greedy .

Aye - tbh I'd not put a fiver on them being anything-less-than Censored, given their other offerings. Not at all a fan of all the misleading marketing crap either "made in the same factory", "used as training aids" "CO2-powered version" - they're totally different guns made under license by totally different people.

While I'm not a fan of the pseudo-military aesthetics of such stuff; some decent, accurate, reliable, powerful PCPs would certainly make the sport a whole lot more interesting if there was enough interest to set up some proper practical / mini-rifle comps. Used to shoot stuff like this with CO2 pistols when they came off ticket and it was hands-down the most fun type of shooting I've experienced.

Sadly though I think there's little appetite on either side of the punter / producer divide to actually make guns that are better - who cares after all if you can keep churning out crap that the Rambo-a-likes lap up on looks alone..?

Oh, and tbh I'd never buy any of their stuff on principal thanks to their greed / that of their importers

Yes I was also thinking along the lines of practical rifle comps .Would bring a whole new super fun and unique element to UK airgunning.Problem being that at the mo there is nothing capable bar the hunting 5 automatic which is far far too difficult in monetary terms to bypass her indoors .I'd be as guilty as the yanks/importers thinking I could get that sort of money by her .Seriously though too dear for myself and I suspect many others .
Sig could quite easily produce something decent but no doubt the innards of the virtus are going to be out of the same Japanese cap gun bin that the mcxs are derived from .
Still ,we live in hope .Just don't hold your breath .

Nothing more than a bit of ribbing and no slur intended on those who would like them.

Yes I could see them being used in practical rifle comps. However if the trigger still cycles the mag as the mpx/mcx, would there be a benefit other than cheaper propellant? I'm not sure and it would probably come at a fair increased cost.

I guess over this side of the pond, real steel imitation air rifles, for me, just don't do much for the view the wider public already hold against guns in general

Nah nothing of interest for me. As a rule I don't like anything tactical or AR.

Oh I don't worry about the wider public any more ,I did but there's little point .If we were down to Harrington gats with corks they'd moan .In this arse about face world that somebody's created ( wasn't me ) you are always going to get over opinionated types who will say black just because you said white .
Last time I looked it was still a relatively free society .I think all we can really do is shoot responsibly .And have a ton of fun ,it's infectious.practical pistol was fun ,I can imagine practical rifle with good gear would be fantastic.
