1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

This is my personal opinion. After having to watch this load of cods (because the wife was interested in it and I had nodded off then woke up) I was amazed when the young couple stated that they were in fear and had thought about wearing bullet proof vests while in and around their home! That raised a grin. From the damage caused by the pellet it was obviously a legally powered air rifle (the distance they say it was shot from and the depth of the impact was not deep). Apart from that it appeared to be a direct strike and not a glancing one so his comments about it richochetting onto the windows with enough noise to waken them was pure waffle.
My big question is this; When it was reported to the police they made no effort to search the home of the stated perpetrator for a weapon but instread chose to issue them with a formal harrassment order. If that was issued then that demonstrates that they had deep suspicions that the weapon had been fired from their home. Perhaps they might like to respond with some excuse? Why then was it not searched for the weapon? Had this happened in Leicestershire I am certain it would have been!
Does this then demonstrate that this program is merely a stage act, as are many more including the JK show, for the camera to gain an audience? Reality? Its nothing like it. It certainly will not be watched again on the main TV regardless of anyone else's preferences.
Biggest question is that why was this shown when all it achieved was to give further 'evidence' those opposed to our sport to raise even more requests for further restrictions? If the Police had searched the property and the weapon if found was confiscated it would have had a far greater impact and show that it is but a tiny minority that choose to act irresponsibly and cause responsible shooters unwarranted criticisms.
TV program producers? They might have qualifications but certainly little common sense!

I didnt see the programme you mention but i should imagine it was all one sided. As usual a simple mention of an airgun incident and all breaks loose !

I think you are right about reality tv being a big stage for people to act ..... it sure is just terrible. People playing up to the camera etc. 99% of the " famous " ... cough z list celebs are only known because they act like complete arses on the other side of a camera . Not that they are actually famous for anything ! People like Jeremy Kyle just like to hear the sound of their own voice i think. Im a celeb , big brother etc are indeed just dire. Programs like cheaters make me wonder though. Surely if you found the love of your life cheating on you .... you dont mess about and talk politely ???? Christ im sure punches are thrown and blood is spilt and people get hurt because that is real life.

Yep so these programs are aimed at a target audience that like to see people hurt , abused , embarrased and humiliated. Its a sad world these days:facepalm:

But if you do happen to like these programs and many others like it then thats ok if it floats your boat and all that

I watched the program and all of the people in it,both the victims and the perpetrators seemed a bit flawed in one way or other.

    Ah the JK show.
If Jeremy had people with learning disabilities on the show he would be castigated (and rightly so)
but when he has people on with the IQ of a monkey the audience thinks its Hilarious.

The IQ of a monkey? Please don't insult monkeys cos from what I saw they are more intelligent than those he 'interviews' after loads of stage management for them, script learning and probably a fair bit of acting coaching. Even the audience I am told by those who have been in it react to signs telling them what to do and when......
There was rumour once that the man himself has not got a very desirable past, maybe that is true because there is very little to find at all when researched. Whoever his managers are they are very clever at hiding it.
Biggest question of all is why no-one has stuck one on him when he gets in their face?
Here is a new acronym.......BLOBOT (biggest load of bo***cks on tv). Sadly my missus is addicted to it.............

These programs are called 'reality TV' and then there seems to be complaints when they reflect reality. The police not doing their job? Here's the reality, they all too often don't. Neighbours acting like bad tempered children? They all too often do. And yes, the majority of people do enjoy watching others get humiliated, bullied, and embarrassed. Sorry, but that's the plain truth, and that truth is called 'reality'.

Hmmmmm...and I thought the word Real (expanded into Reality) meant that it is 'real' (honest, factual, true to life) and not pre-rehearsed, coached or otherwise arranged and edited which it then becomes the opposite - not real life or 'reality'.
Perhaps it is meant to be a 'reality' in someones dreams (the producers/writers).........How sad.
