1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I guess I was lucky. I happened to visit TORO Distribution one night last week and saw they had a sale on. I decided to take a punt on a CP2 .177 in Camo. Well the night I ordered they had a 20% discount on and I managed to blag a CP2 and 4x32 Mildot scope for £*** quid delivered.

Been messing about with it this afternoon in the sun and I am super impressed. Well it's powerful, probably the most powerful co2 pistol I have ever owned. Now going to make it into a rifle/carbine. Love it.

The scope is a PAO Topaz 4x32 Mildot and is as clear as spring stream in Snowdonia. Perfect for this gun.

If this isn't the best value for money combo I will eat my Texas ten gallon hat.

Why buy secondhand on here when you can get brand new from the EU? It's a no brainer.

Actually mate, it is quieter than I thought it would be. All you can hear is the action. It is superb for the money.

Excellent price! We keep ours in rifle mode, mainly because I cant be bothered to mess about changing it!
I was a little dismissive about it's accuracy and treated it as a plinker.. until I tried some Geckos that I use in my pistols.
    Turns out it loves 'em!
    Enjoy!

VFM I doubt if you can get better, well done. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with it in pistol configuration.

I'm keeping it in rifle config. It is extremely accurate at the ranges I am using it at. With the 4x32 scope.

A good little airgun. The magazine thing sucks though, since the internal spring mechanism is too weak to reliably rotate the pellet holders accurately. That inevitably causes jams and double feeds. There are two fixes in my experience

    1. get a replacement mag from a guy in Croatia :

    https://www.carm-magazines.com

I am waiting for mine to arrive

    2. Quick fix: remove the transparent rotating disc and manually( finger tip ) pretension the spring. Maintain tension while inserting first pellet. That allows one to load all other pellets easily. Stick a bit of scotch tape ( small piece only lightly applied) so as to prevent the pellets from falling out. Must be careful to not obstruct the passage through which the bolt travels while chambering a pellet ( obvious ). This mod is easy and takes 5 minutes. The only problem is that the loading process is a bit fiddly and one needs to use scotch tape every time.

Note also that the stock mag does not seat flush with the right side of the receiver. That can also cause jams. Fix is to use another bit of tape applied to the right side of the receiver so as to prevent ( barrier ) the mag from being moved too far to the right. All directions assuming you are looking from the rear sight to the front sight.
Final tip: buy lots of scotch tape ( Disclaimer: I have no financial interests in the Scotch Tape corporation)

    Mods from top to bottom

    1.Mag after transparent cover removed
    2. Pretensioned spring
    3. Inserted first pellet which holds spring under tension
    4. Shows all pellets loaded
    5. Bit of scotch tape in place to stop pellets falling out but allowing free passage of bolt
    6. Showing need to apply but of tape to right side of receiver
    7. Showing loaded mag in place and ready to go. Note be careful to apply tape in such a way that the sight picture is not obscured by the tape

That was a bargain! I can hardly believe that you get two barrels and the shoulder stock included in the kit. Very nifty.

I’ve had its little sister, the CP1, for a couple of months now using it exclusively in single shot mode. Simple things need doing to it out of the box and the grip will never win any prizes but bang for buck it is exceptionally good value and surprisingly accurate.

We'll know if Bill's got the urge if suddenly a load of pistols appear on the sales forum.
