1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Where the #### do I start with you lot eh?
I started learning to shoot R.A.F. Regiment Kinloss as a dependant at the Grand age of 7.
There were light guns in the armory, N.A.T.O. and even some of those used by 'the enemy'.
I got to use the instructors match rifle rested on cushion foam, everything explained and me listening while trying to hold an effing Cannon upright.
Slot 2 I got to fire 5 rounds and hence forth I Loved shooting and larger than life guns.
    R.A.F. St. Mawgan...
'Gun Club' had little .22rf target guns... In my 12yo mind they were suitable for a 5yo and after my mom told them I'd be fine they let me shoot of the effing foam, they found the smallest jacket they could and helped me figure it all out.
Prone, Kneeling and Off Hand with the same match gun till I was 16.
I continued till the age of 21... But at 17 I bought my first airgun with my college Grant and mom blew an effing fit / I was diagnosed as having PTSD, Complex PTSD and OCD.
    OCD is Gooood for shooting.
Anyways, my first airgun was a HW77K with some sort of 40-3x9 AO scope, a nice sling, bag and a selection of pellets... went into the nearest field and learnt Everything of how to shoot again
Got perms and shot the whatnot out of every thing... In a sporting manner with The sporting airgun of choice.
Mom, now 3yrs divorced stopped asking questions about what I want working for the local Mercedes Engineer and recently told her that it was Mr.P. who told me to buy that 77 as BSA air rifles were 'almost stone-age'.
Sold that and stopped match same time, lived life and I have a recovering body and weapons grade mental health issues.
And for my son's (or whatever's) I'm an East Riding lad...
This is my new to me 77 dated roughly 1990 - Mk3 25mm beech righty together as a wip:

In real life it looks better than an unworked stock on the outside

    More as I posted early...
Stocks French polished and somehow the actions removed fine rust patches are showing through. I couldn't afford Mr.Chells work, nor to finish it and did I really want to be poking it through s**t to shoot stuff possibly doing real damage to my hard work (asked my gunsmith friend).
He's let me hold a metric keg load of airguns and now comes the OCD...
We discussed Everything, like explained above, finer points were holding a BSA UltraMax and saying "Like this, but sized for an effing man".
    German barrel.
    Reg'd bottle.
Right handed or fat in the ambi comb stock.
And as heavy as an FWB300s without glass n stuff.
He told me he could build that and the gun would cost X, he told me what it was going be and PTSD helped me forget when me mental health went wonky for a few months.
Turns out it was a Walther Rotex RM8 :laff:.
I watched it And a beech sleeper being built, both have sorted barrels with blueprint internals and relevant mods.
Once my present 'killing' rm8 starts earning proper like, I'm having the beech sister too.
Gonna make her action a new frock for 'target shooting' only and that's all I'm saying on that subject.
So, it's what I demanded as a bare gun, the scope for the money I paid s/h is amazing... A take it out the bag and it will do it's thing if I do my thing correctly from shot 1.
Before physical injuries took their toll, I was a Sponsored and Professional surfer working in biggish engineering so 11lbs is about half of what I can have in a rucksack on my back for a day in the field.
Am an East Riding from the Deep lad and deep down I have a sense of humor...
So yer all a bunch of big girls blouses.
    And me wuppets just pharted...
Time to open the door and have cuppa like :thumb:

    Details on the card...
    IMG_20191019_212037.jpg
Shot in the wide open expanse of my 'learning wind' spot with a sunset behind me.
First 4 shots of the 2mags shot I'm obviously crunching the numbers and loose my mojo because the targets colours start fuddlin me brain .
If I get an early start the morra I'll measure out my 25yrdZ on the flat and have a twiddle with my scope as the parallax was set at 75yrds:ooops:
Scopes been left as last used so...
The I'll trudge into the woods to shoot some pinecones and do some 4" red crosses in an attempted to do a shot count from a 200bar fill till it drops off the curve.
Need a chronograph really but that's less fun... But good for OCD :thumb:
Must also remember to zero my turrets before advancing past go.
