Anyone have an idea which of the current crop of Air Pistols has the most power? Are there any up there at the 6ft/lb mark? I know the Weirauch HW45 is pretty powerful, are there ANY CO2 Pistols close?
    cheers

Most power : Weihrauch HW45 - as far as I know, it's the only pistol touching on the legal limit.

Falcon pistols run over 5ft/lb as does the scorpion and diana sp5. There are quite a few others too. For co2 the eb22 and ratbuster run close to 5 ft/lb too. Power is nothing without control though and the two co2 pistols mentioned are cheaply built and feel it.

Hi, Crossman 1377/1322 Medalist pump ups can reach levels near the limit.
I had one a few years ago,it seemed comparible to my 45.
    I didn't have a chronograph then.
Build quality isn't amazing but fully functional.
    V. accurate, has nice long barrel + shoulder stock (optional).
    Old hat nowadays:D

I second that cheap feel to Crosman CO2 pistols - mine has started to leak after a few thousand shots - replacement parts can be expensive ...

    - INTERMOUNTS £15 ?! -

Anyway, I saw the BSA Scorpion mentioned earlier, that does close to 7 ft/lbs so that's more than legal power.

I have an HW45 which is near legal limit & also just bought a BSA Magnum & I think that should be around 5.5 ft lbs although mine is only doing 4 ft lbs as its been in storage & needs a bit of use according to my local gunshop.

BSA magnum will never hit 5.5 ft/lb. 4- 4.5ft/lb is about std. Beautifully made gun but not great to shoot. Rather harsh IMO

Bit on the light side as well & I rekon thats why the recoil is harsh. Have tried it in the garden & against all odds managed to hit a bucket with it. Managed a few knockdown targets at close range at my local club as well so not too bad.

The 1377 and 1322 mentioned earlier are definitely up there in the power stakes (1322 was discontinued as it goes well over 6 ft/lb) but build quality is again lousy and pumping gets tiresome for each shot. OK as a basic and cheap competition pistol but not as a back garden plinker because of that.

IMO they are THE "all time classic" air pistol.
