I'm looking to try and expand my shooting, I only have a small range at home around 11 yards or so. I enjoy it and have a few things to shoot like spinners, knock down duck but currently shooting the ply reactive targets which are good fun and quite challenging at that range I find any way.

I would like to try at different distances to see if can work out hold over/ under or if becomeing a chart and turret turner is the way forward.

I have toyed with joining a club but I think there is only one near and only open one day a week. But also a little apprehensive about joining one too?

    Any suggestions?

Go to local farms and ask if they would allow you to set up a few targets to shoot.

You could maybe get an air pistol to use at home ? I use mine at mainly 7 & 10yds.

Have you tried Havant RPC (http://www.havant-rpc.co.uk/) as they are open most days of the week, but last I knew they were reaching membership capacity.

There is also Portsmouth RPC (https://www.shrpclub.org/) that have indoor air rifle ranges at Hilsea

Bit further afield, you have SBFTC at Romsey (http://www.sbftc.co.uk/default.htm?page=homepage) ; Botley Shooting Range (https://thegunshopbotley.com/the-range/) who open Tues to Sunday afternoons until mid-evening ; and Meon Valley Airgun Club at http://www.mvac.co.uk/ which comes highly recommended !

I wouldn't be worried about joining a club as most cater for new and experienced shooters alike and are usually frequented by good people ... after all, you all have a common interest

Clubs welcome new shooters. My advice is have a run down to your local club and introduce yourself.
