1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

No I hanvnt been drinking firstly :D

@5.40am this morning I stepped out the front door to get in the car to come to work. As usual I looked up to see a clear sky with some of the stars having that twinkling effect you see on a clear cold morning.
I usually have a quick scan around to see of I can see any satellites and saw a bright one heading west.....now it gets strange.
Another one followed the same path about 5 seconds behind it...then another...and then tracking back I watched another one appear until I'd finally counted 8 and watched them disappear into the western sky.
Now I know what a satellite looks like as 25 years of carp fishing through the night I like to think I'm a bit of a specialist in seeing satellites but this has really stumped me.
There were no flashing lights and the way they just appeared in a clear night sky suggests satellites or debris of some sort but there was no burning up....just a bright light as you would expect from a satellite as it catches the sun.
There was no engine noise either....I'm also into my aircraft as I live near to Birmingham Airport and on the Lichfield Corridor route....saying that for anyone that knows these objects were on the Lichfield corridor route heading west.

I don't know what the hell these were or if there were even more than the 8 I spotted before I looked up but it had blown my head up a little.
If anybody has any info then I'd love to know as it's one of those things that ive never seen before and I dont understand.

And no I wasnt anally probed by aliens or eating mushrooms before you start :p:D:eek::eek:

I have no idea if this is connected but there were sonic booms heard over London & the North of London.
At 04:20 Sunday sonic booms were shaking houses.
The official report was that RAF jets were scrambled to intercept an unidentified "craft"

Maybe Steven Spielberg is making a new movie.:D

It was surreal mate..I can see why people would think it was 'other worldly" as I've never seen anything like that in 40 years.
I knew there would be a rational explanation but it was amazing to witness :thumb:

It was definately this and it looks like I caught the back end of the train as it went overhead.
I'd strongly suggest that if you are up early to use this site https://me.cmdr2.org/starlink/
and see if you can spot them...for me they appeared near enough overhead and travelled into the western sky.
Certainly an experience that will.live with me for a long time as it's not something you will Screenshot_20191201-092055_Samsung Internet.jpg see every day :thumb:

Lol . my old Dad rang me shortly after 6am this morning in a right flap . Apparently while putting the bins out he witnessed a full scale alien armada in attack formation.

Luckily I had already read this post and realised what he'd seen so put his mind at rest , I think he expected me to come flying up to his house armed to the teeth with .22 airguns just in case.

He did say that it was one of the most amazing things he had seen in the night sky.:thumb:

I've watched them for the last 2 mornings now mate.
I strongly suggest that anyone up at this time had a look.
If you stand facing a westerly direction and look straight up you will see a train of them pass through and it's amazing if your into that sort of thing.
Make sure the sky is clear and that you dont have to much light pollution and be outside about 5.30ish and they should appear between then and 5.50am :thumb:
