1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Kozak Continues To Impress

While out shooting today being constantly impressed by my kozak, consistently accurate, balances perfectly in the shoulder and impressive shot count, I got talking to another enthusiast. He's been a gun smith for over 20 years, currently working at DAI and has been an air gunner for longer. As curious as most people are when they see the Zbroia, he asked the general questions. Price, shots, do I like it etc etc. I thought I'd let the rifle talk for itself and obliged him to have a go.
He was more than impressed, every part of the Kozak got the nod. Quality build, accuracy, noise (or lack of), regulated, relatively cheap compared to what you get for the money and what else you could spend more on and not necessarily get anything better. He had another go later, he came to find me to ask if he could see what kind of grouping he could get. At 25 yards the jsb exacts were all landing in the same hole.
So impressed he's going to try and get them stocked at DAI and I believe they'll fly off the shelf.
I'm relatively new to this game and I'm blown away by this rifle, if there's a better rifle out there I can't wait to have a go.
Yes pcps aren't everyone's cup of tea/ale. I like springers, I like the challenge they present and the feel of the shot. You're a lot more involved in getting the pellet to its intended destination. But in terms of technology and engineering I love the kozak for making me look so good when I land a 40 yard shot standing.

If you ever get chance to have a go with one or even buy one, do it, you won't be dissapointed

    Good write up.
Are there two versions with different barrels. If so which one are you using?

Same barrels, just different lengths, rifle and carbine. I have a rifle length Hortista.

Not certain they are any more!
They have been selling off the stock they had at discount prices, as I understand it they have some kind of disagreement with them.

Couldn’t agree more Ferret & Mole and it’s good to hear the view of your mate from DAI too.

Sureshot are certainly an importer if not the importer. They had some on offer recently around the £500 mark.

Is yours the 330 or 450 action Ferret? I think the shorter action sells more, it’s so compact without any compromise on shots, handling and fit.

I don’t know why these don’t sell even better than they do. It’s the new name I think as the price seems good to me and a steal on offer.

This wasn’t quite my understanding but indeed it seems someone’s boat get rocked somewhere. I thought Matt said Sureshot would continue to sell Zbroia, but maybe I misunderstood.

They had reduced prices on ex demo and slower selling variants, currently just the hortitsias. Kozaks are showing out of stock.

Mines the 450 action, imo better accuracy from the longer barrel, which I believe they make themselves, and higher shots from the cylinder. I shouldered both and the difference was virtually none existent due to the weight being centred on the pistol grip.
The fact he was interested enough to come find me after speaking to someone else about it proves an interest and if there's troubles with the current importer he could be onto some serious business now

That's a very long barrel, removable mod though which might appeal to some but they're already quiet with the standard barrel. Plus how much more accurate can you get than 12 pellets in the same hole?

The LW in my Compatto was unimpressive at best indeed I think Brocock have just changed at the last return (jury still out on that but it’s shooting better now). The Zbroia however is very pellet unfussy and accurate enough for my needs as standard.

Incidentally Ferret, how does the barrel remove? Any idea? I’ve not even looked yet but in case of a pull through it’d be nice to know.

Nice write up. I find these interesting as you certainly seem to get a lot of bang for your buck.

I do think they look good and would love to try one, especially Vs different barrel makes(LW)/grade and see if there is a big enough difference?

I've not needed to remove it, I've struggled and fiddled getting a pull through out at the breach end only to clean manufacturing muck out.
It looks fairly simple, there's a clamp about 6 inches down the barrel just as the shroud begins, I can't see it being more than a few screws securing it in at the breach.

@mikeyhall1 you get so much bang for your buck I feel I should go back and pay more!..I'm not going to though
