1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Looks like summats on fire to me. Comet? If that were the predator spaceship then the occupants may well be in a spot of bother one assumes.

I have seen up close what all UFO researchers spend their lives seeking and probably never see.
It was 1996 summer, about midnight.
Clear skies and sat in a car with a mate as you do.
It was on the edge of the local dunes here in a car park so semi remote. The car window was open i was in passenger seat. I looked to the left in the scrub about 50 foot away and as soon as i focussed on a clump an orange oval machine approx 8 feet across with a black diagonal stripe running around its girth shot straight up into the air at phenomenal speed. No sound, no obvious propulsion and no lights. Yet it was dark but i could see this thing clearly as it shot straight up and out of sight into a pin p***k in about 4 seconds.
I turned to my mate and said calmly did you see that and he had indeed.
I told people for a while after and not to seem too dramatic my whole outlook on life changed with respect to what we are in this universe and obviously created more questions than answers. I stopped telling my tale due to the usual mockery and understandable to be fair disbelief. I resigned myself to keeping quiet about it.
I had always been interested in such things but this object sealed the deal for me. Whether it was manned or merely a probe it sure as Censored wasnt man made.
Any country with that tech would own the damn world.
It is a good feeling actually knowing for sure we are being visited or at least monitored. Quite exciting.

I still don't believe in all this sort of stuff despite me and one of my friends seeing something that resembled a UFO.

While still at secondary school in Carlisle we were playing for Trinity Secondary School in an inter school football match in an area called Stanwix, me and a mate 'Paul' were the only two who saw a long grey cigar shaped object hover over the trees in the distance before lowering gently down behind the tree line out of sight and then a second or so later rocketing off at huge speed vertically out of sight.

    Here is the location: https://www.google.com/maps/@54.923...4!1sJR_Smqzztsh7D_0yBEZW2g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Like I said, I still don't believe in this sort of stuff though while I still acknowledge to seeing something that I would argue was not of this world.

It's a meteorite burning up in the Earth's atmosphere similar to that one in Russia fairly recently.

Okay, out wildfowling one night, stayed back in case any geese moved it was a three quarter moon ,the night was perfect white fluffy clouds,I was sitting with a friend, when I saw something a cigar shaped object silently moving slowly across the heavens, orange coloured could not judge the size ,it made no noise cutting across the sky, when I got home I mentioned it to my father,I asked could it be a bullet of the rifle range he said no ,this was around 1982 never forgot it,then around 1999 ,I was watching the television sightings of orange cigar shaped craft seen across Britain,I don’t know what it was that night but I thought of everything ,it was a ufo,I think wildfowlers must see and have plenty of sights, due to being out at night and looking for ducks in the night sky ,mike

Maybe they popped in to have a game of five-aside ;)
I have never seen anything strange myself and have often wandered around the fields and paths in the evening at dark. Although one night some bright lights suddenly came into a field I was in, and next thing there were some loud bangs, it scared the pants of me, even more so when I realised it was a bunch of idiots shooting from a fast moving pickup and I realise I could have been shot

i do believe in species from other times / planets or dimensions but i think we wouldnt see them as i think if they have technology so advanced that allows them to travel so fast they would probably have cloaking tech in their ships for when they observe other species
