1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I'm hoping to go out this weekend and get an AA 410 Classic .177 with a silencer, a 300 bar bottle, a couple of extra magazines and a scope.
My problem is not knowing which scope to go for. Budget is £150 ish and I would like a side wheel scope, illuminated if possible.

WHAT DO I GO FOR ????

look on the JSR website if you look at their ows scopes you can get a sidewheel for £110 odd i don't know about it being iluminated but iluminated reticules are only needed for dusk and dawn shootng, a lamp will iluminate the area enough so an iluminated reticule wouldn't help much there

OK guys, thanks for the suggestions, I'm off to Euroguns tomorrow....lets see what they have.
I have an AGS 3-9 x 50 (not side wheel) VIPIR, I might just put that on for now...we'll see.

Did I maybe ought to get a .22 ??? or should I get both barrels ??...or should I maybe get a semi auto Beretta Shotgun instead ??

U will only need one extra mag, at around £30 each, u can put the extra £30 to the scope, the scope I suggested will fill 2 tasks hunting and target...but there is only one cal. (in my mind)for targets and that's .177, there a again u could go for the best of both worlds, and go .20...u already have a very good shotgun:confused: so why not have the very best airgun, the AA S410...don't take my word for it, just look bk at the forum...how many people use them, I have no complaints abt mine, how many people use 410 in there names:up:up to u buss mate.

Don't worry, I've seen all about the AA410, thanks to this forum, and from first thinking of getting a PCP rifle it ALWAYS had to be the 410. Good idea about the mags, but to be honest if the scope needed an extra £30 it would get it anyway.
Nearly 7 years ago now I stopped smoking. Partly because of the cost, but mainly due to health considerations. Since then I've stashed away at least half the amount I would have spent on cigarettes each week into a "special" bank account. These are the funds that I've drawn on for my model aircraft and helicopters, for extra presents for Jenny for ANYTHING I want to spend without feeling guilty of robbing the "family" coffers.
I don't spend it just because it's there and I still do have quite an extended thought process before buying big, but at the moment it's sitting around the £2000 mark and that's after spending extra on Christmas presents for my kids and Grand children....oh...and Jenny of course.
I don't (and won't) spend it all, but I'm not going to "spoil the ship for a halfpennyworth of tar".

    And it WILL be .177

Merry Christmas Everybody from Jenny and Buzz.

Well guys, I didn't manage to get out to Euroguns today and we're off Clay Shooting at Humberside Shooting Ground tomorrow, so it looks like my money lives for another week....BUT fear not...it WILL be spent before the New Year. I may well have a good look at all your recommendations for scopes, maybe order one online to take out with me when I buy the gun and get it zeroed in out there.

Well I've got the setup...previously posted it but hre it is again.
S410 Classic, AGS Swat 4-16 X 56 illuminated scope, 300bar bottle, AA silencer and 1 spare magazine.

I've just zeroed the scope this morning..only at 10 yrds at the moment but have just put 2 full magazines into a 1 pence piece grouping, with several through the same hole.
This is the first time I've ever shot a PCP rifle and I have to say they are the dogs whatsits. I'm over the moon...even after I'd paid for it I still had a little worry that it was a lot of money to splash out on something just for fun, but not any more. These rifles are the best thing since sliced bread...believe me..and I can remember not having sliced bread!!!

    SO QUIET...SO SMOOTH...SO ACCURATE !!!!!

    Oh...did I mention it's .177 !!!!
