1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

could it be that they are only bred from a handful of blues originally, and they are inbred to keep the colour?

Google the most likely dog to bite in the U.K. you will be surprised to see it’s the Labrador followed by the collie these are working dogs just like any terrier you can’t blame a dog for owners incompetence why buy a working dog and think it will make a good pet there’s tons of frustration there what needs funnelling one way or another be it a yorkie terrier or big herding dog with out a purpose it’s only going to lead to problems

She was only really fond of my sister. I could visit and she would be fine for much of the time, but then again she might give me that look and growl, straight out of the blue. Sort of like she had forgotten who I was in the span of a few seconds. The really bad times only started after she had a hip operation. I joked that she was shorted on oxygen and brain damaged by it. She bit about three people and it was always the hand that tried to pet her. Honestly, she reminded me of a dog version of my sister, who was well known to scrap with anyone that crossed her. If getting rid of the dog was ever mentioned my sister would tell you to get off her property if you didn't like her dog.

There is a blue strain of staffs built on Irish bloodlines and they are as steady in nature as any brindle staff. Don’t know where this myth about blue staffs came about ah yes I do it will be the kennel club who won’t recognise a blue staff. Strange people they are on a par with the rspca when it comes to cruelty.

this is daisy lost to a brain tumour breed weimaraner from germany used as a hunt point retreive breed , now as a breed very very loyal protective but knew when to be so, very fast agile and very very intelligent her drive for prey was unreal as a lot of weims are they are bred for it ,but put a child or human between her and what she was after and she knew it was a no go straight away and she acted correctly through her own doing and actions ,any dog breed can be aggressive have a off day,i dont think you can really ever blame the dog i really dont, yet i think you can blame the owner or handler i get so swear word when children or adults assume they can touch or pet any dog i own without asking me first i also hate it when people get down level with any dog and get to up close to a strange dogs face with their face that really grinds me badly as you dont know said dog yet your getting in their face showing your human teeth to it i wish people would just think before they act

The pittbulls here used to be 50-60 lb. dogs max, but the Staffordshire was always closer to 80-100 lbs. The pitts were bred for fighting only, even though it is illegal. My neighbor brought one home with a pedigree as long as your arm. His father and grandfather were true killers in the ring and he looked very dangerous. I had my old dog, a Dalmation/ Pittbull cross, and I was worried this thing would kill him. My neighbor assured me that he would never let him loose, but one day I rolled into the yard to find him nose to tail with my 11 year old dog. I jumped out of the car trying to find something to help my dog, but the Pittbull jumped him. In the blink of an eye my dog caught the other in the throat and flipped him over onto his back. My dog was literally shredding the Pittbull. When I yelled at my dog, he let the other go. You should have seen the other dog run. I thought these things were bad and wouldn't stop, but when 72 lbs. of blue twisted steel has a hold of your throat, it's time to get moving. Lost my old dog to cancer just a few months later and haven't had the will to get another dog. It's been 25 years and I still miss him.
