Hi, looking for advice on a decent kit.
New to air rifles and having put approx 600 pellets through my first rifle in the last 3 weeks - a secondhand HW57.
Now looking at stripping it down and giving it a good and most likely overdue strip & clean.
Drop in a kit too as i don't know the guns history.
A stripdown guide would be helpful too if anyone has one.
    Cheers Paul.

is it twangy? if its second hand and its not,it may already be fitted with a decent guide.best strip it
down and have a look inside first.same internals as a 99.if you want to give it the full
monty go for some piston mods (rw, this is what i did for you,but you didnt send me your gun!)

I know that the HW57 is a noisy gun, so not too sure weather it is twangy or not as just a novice.
Hopefully going to the Northern Monkey HFT shoot next weekend so i can ask peoples opinons of the gun.
Would like to strip it and fit a kit with new spring so i know where i am with the gun and can continue on maintaining and getting to know my gun.
Good point about stripping first !.
    Many thanks

The 57 is just a 99 in a party frock. A Very nice gun when sorted! There are plenty of options available to you, feel free to ask any questions, I'm sure the collective knowledge will help.:)
