I own a HW35 air rifle, and I was wondering, I know it sounds prety stupid and I probly just over looked it.

I remember seeing a power rating on it in joules but now I cant find it, can some one with one tell me where it is printed on the gun?

Another thing, can some one outline the basic ways of tuning your gun please, I know about replaceing the main spring and would need a No 4 ox mainspring, but that would take me past the legal limit, and without a chrony I woulnd be able to test.

    ok so here the questions.

Where is the power printed one the gun?
Can you get HW35s under 12ft/lb?
How can you tune a gun without adding a main spring?
Are there any tests that you can do to find out if your above the legal limit without a chrony eg, if it can shoot through 1/2" plywood its not legal?

Never heard of the HW35 having a "power rating" stamped on it. Check the owners manual.

The HW35 was produced for the UK market sub 12ft/lb, it was a very popular weapon in the early 80's.

You can tune the gun without using a souped up spring.

Recommend getting access to a chrono after tuning your rifle, the consequences of being caught with an over the limit weapon in Tony Blair's Imperial Empire do not bear thinking about!
