90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

    Hi Chris,
I am a daystate owner, there have been several discussions on this site regarding poor quality control and bad service if you have a problem.
One of the members in my club returned a ranger with under power problems, gun came back with vice marks all over the barrel.
I was going to purchase another daystate but have now decided to order a RAW TM1000. If the QC issues are sorted out daystates are lovely guns.
I also have a HW100, if I were you stick with HW100 until daystate get back to how they used to be and sort QC

I have no experience of the Wolverine but last week I bought a Huntsman Classic, my first ever daystate. Today I've just ordered a new HW100 as in my view the magazine and loading system isn't a patch on the HW. The DS magazine is so fiddly to get in (you need three arms to hold the bolt in exactly the right place) I thought it was broken to begin with! I also missed the smooth side lever cocking and 14 shot magazines.

If it were me I'd say stick with the HW but as I said I can't comment on the wolverine specifically. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi...if you have just started then you already have one of the best guns on the market - exactly the same as when I started. I couldn't imagine trading my Hw100KT in - for anything. It doesn't stop me acquiring new toys of course, just think its one of the best ones out there...and can't see me being without it.

I've only shot a few Daystate's and the owners seemed happy with them - but what is it the wolverine will give you that the HW doesn't? obviously looks and shot count - but from my mind I like the look of the 100 anyway and as I do hunting 50 shots is more than enough....

    thanks
    Tim

Sounds like you've made your mind up mate so good luck.

just bear in mind that Daystate's quality control has gone downhill by all accounts recently!

I love my HW100KT in .20. It has by far the best loading / cocking system there is
I have shot a mk4 and a huntsman and both felt really nice, so nice in fact that I was going to buy a mk4 until I found out what Daystate charge for servicing
I keep going back to the HW100 though and think its finally sunk in that the HW is spot on for me

What yor get with the day state wolverine. Better balance- more shots. Nicer wood. Quieter smoother action. Better handling. The 14 shot is nice to have but depletes the cylinder quicker and I find the daystate is more accurate (marginal though) no fliers which my 100s always did on at least 1 shot per mag. And the huntsman is nothing like the wolverine. Though also look at the AA hft500 another superb rifle.

So far mines fine and all pcps need servicing regularly even a 100. I'm not knocking the 100 I loved mine but the wolverine is a differnt league. Better components. Better finish certainly on my two. Nicer wood if you look for it. And they have made big jumps in qc since April as the later guns are certainly better. A lot of shelf stock with dealers of old guns still.

In fairness the wolverine should be better as it's a lot more cash - you had to trade two 100's for it! The fact is I don't think it's that much better to justify its price tag over what is universally regarded as the best mag and loading system out there.

I've had hw100's and sold them to try this gun and that gun but have kept going back to the hw100.in my opinion they are the best rifle straight out of the box

I've been a long time time Daystate owner and still have a lot of their guns but, they're not what they used to be, Daystate started going down the pan a few years ago, around the time they sold out to the Italians.
Looked at Wolverine's, some resemble the finish of an R10 (crap)

Still own a lot of Daystates but, not really a fan any more, they need to get their act together otherwise they'll be on par with BSA

HW100, can't fault the gun personally, in fact i don't understand the need for people keep chopping and changing guns, a gun is a tool, find one that shoots properly and that is reliable. and stick with it. ;)

No comparison the wolverine is leagues ahead in every way. The 100 is a lot cheaper though and cheaper for a reason atb

The reason is Daystate are overpriced and overrated. My MK4 was good and I had one Regal that was OK but two that were crap and two Huntsmans that were crap.
HW100 for me, no gimmicks, no silly pictures on the stock, full power and accuracy up with the best.
Don't buy a badge mate, get a gun you can rely on and put the extra into a decent scope.

    Chris
