Post that in the Data Center portion of the forum please. I can move it there if you want. Up to you.

How do you adjust the power on the HW 100. I have just got a new one and the power is just above the 12fp mark?

Thanks abc, (KPnuts: power adjustment should never be discussed on an open forum)

    Regards

I have a HW100 and I would like to know how to adjust the power too. If you post the answer on open forum then anyone wanting this info would be helped, whats wrong with that? I thought that`s what forums were about, passing usfull information to other members? :)

I think the reason for this is that if it was openly posted then you would have some idiots trying to crank their guns too high and making them a potential hazard. You should leave adjusting the power of your rifle to someone with alot of experience or a proffessional as if you put your rifle up to 12fpe or more, yes, even 12fpe it is prbably illegal as you cannot be sure that your rifle wont surpass 12fpe with all brands of pellets and certainly if you put it above 12fpe then you are on the wrong side of the law and would need to obatain an FAC.

And to add to what Chael said i personally dont think both the police and airgun manufactuers would want that kind of information on show to the public. So brer rabbit i hope you can see where we are all coming from here.

Mine was tested at 12.3 ft/lb with bisleys from new. I ought to turn it down a bit but don`t know how to. Perhaps a pm from someone then please.:)

A sensible reply from all concerned.

Most of my rifles are kept around the 11.4 mark as there is no laid down pellet used for testing. If your rifle is at 11.9 with a 7.9 grain pellet and its tested with a 9.5 grain it will be well over. (I am talking PCP and .177" here)
