90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Advice How Much Could I Expect For Selling My BSA Lightning?

    Hi guys,

My BSA Lightning (standard beech-stock model) and I are still not seeing eye-to-eye after a few months and lots of practice/trial, and I'm seriously looking into getting an HW97k or similar as they seem like the kind of rifle I could buy and then never want to sell on, even if I buy another rifle in the future. In the long run, I could save the Lightning for a project rifle and V-Mach it, or maybe put a gas ram in it, but at present I need a rifle which will do what I want it to out of the box.

I'm therefore thinking of selling or part-exchanging the Lightning to contribute towards the new rifle, but I've not sold a rifle before so wanted to ask you guys how much you think would be a reasonable asking price? It was bought new in January, and is still in good condition other than a couple of scuffs on the stock and one on the metal work (a friend put it down on some concrete ). I'd be selling/exchanging just the rifle (I'll be keeping the scope, bag, etc. for my new rifle) though I'll leave the Maxigrip rail on it as it's pretty much part of the gun.

Thanks for your advice folk! :)

That's about right, I'd say. I sold a Tactical stocked version with a cheapo scope for £160 a month or so ago.
