1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Went out last night on my New perm....

Its very hilly and undulating.Any hows, got there around 7.30pm and zeroed the gun at the thirty yrds hitting drawing pins at a board smack in the middle all eight of the magazine.

Waited for dusk around ten past nine.then off i went..up and down these bloody hills.First rabbit i stalked just bang on dark could still see through the scope.guessed it around 28yrds.put the scope on the bunny, sent the pellet ......totally missed..hummmm.

walked up the next hill ..put on the lamp and rabbit number two comes into view...guess around 15yrds ..one and a half mildots old under ,send the pellet ...MISSS.but i see the pellet with the lamp and its at least four mil dots to the right...

Back down the hill.. pace out thirty yrds and get out the little board with the drawing pins and my suspicions are confirmed ..FOUR mildots to the right missing..

My question....is it me walking up and don these bloody hills with the rifle slung over my shoulder, causing the scope to come off centre?

i reset the scope had a ciggie and a brew and set off again..up down loop the loop ..found another bunny..guessed around 20yrds ..one mildot under .Send the pellet another 4 bloody mildots too the right GRRRRRR.

It has to be walking up and down these hills with the gun RIGHT???

Called it a night at this point.

Very frustrating but feel fit as a fiddle as i type this....

    Regards Mikey.

I take it you do allow for the wind as it's been very windy here for the last few days?

The wind would have affected when he was zeroing the gun though (guessing you zeroed outside?), plus the way the shots are four mil dots to the right seems too uniform to attribute it to the wind, at least thats what I think

Try it again but carry the gun in front of you, if it shoots off target again then i think your scopes knackered.

4 mildots to the right at 15yards would have to be very strong winds.

What scope, mounts, and rifle are you using?

4 mildots does seem far too much for normal wind allowance but for general zeroing and to answer your comment above "what if he was zeroing with the wind in a different direction - at his back, from in front or front the other side?".

Allowed for the wind buddy...has been windy.but when the sun went down, the wind eased right off..

Looked at the gun and scope today...all fine hitting drawing pins at thirty and forty yrds...

gonna walk the hills again this weekend and jut shoot at targets placed along my rout.dont wanna injure any rabbits ,would hate myself doing that.

if it does it again, will look at investing in a new scope.

    Regards Mikey.
