90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Picked one of these up yesterday brand new and here's my first impression.

Trigger very long first stage hopefully that can be adjusted but a nice clean break.

Firing cycle is beautiful and on a par with some tuned guns. No spring twang whatsoever In fact it feels a little lazy and I suspect maybe low on power. I have a tinbum kit on order but will chrono before fitting. What spring do you all recommend and what pellets work well? I have brocock pellets but believe these are just rebranded.

Further to my last the lock up of the barrel after cocking it is very stiff and when I cock it something creaks but will sort that with a tune up but have to say that firing cycle is very sweet and not what I expected out of the box from other reviews I've read.

It has been blued before then it's been faced off or milled flat,it should be like that.

The trigger beats any springer unit except for the Rekords, even better if you spend a bit of time with it.

Mine creaked and had a bit of twang but after replacing the spring with one of WW's titan springs that had the end polished, along with a new top hat and the usual polishing,it's perfect now.

Did you have to lop any coils off the Titan or does willy cut to correct size?

mine was horendous to use as standard, but after taking it to bits and smoothening everything out and re-lubing. it shot nicer than hw's as standard and better than a sfs webley stingray and hw98!

Yes I remember using a second hand one couple of years ago and it was horrible but this is amazing I can't put the bloody thing down!

Looks wise it reminds me of a webley Vulcan deluxe that I lusted after years ago but with a much much better trigger and with a bolted breach you know there's not going to be any play. This is far better than my out of the box hw80 that I had years ago. Having said that I've not scoped her up and tried for accuracy yet. How do you take the foresight off this as I don't see any screws

The mod 55/60 are a few year old, without the Quattro unit and are pretty poor,I think this is where the bad name comes from.

The new S models are the best springers about for the price.

WW cuts, flattens and polishes the springs to fit,a perfect drop in kit.

imo, the best value (£ for£) springer that you can buy - great out of the box, and with a little tlc, can be made so much better. brand new, you would have to spend double to get anything that comes close

Nice to see you've bought one, I use my nephews WW tuned mod 60 most weekends and it's still a lot of fun.

The muzzle under that foresight should be squared off and not stepped like the old ones so if you knock it off a slip on mod can be fitted easily.

I've tested the mod 60 with most pellets and its good with the usual suspects - Exacts, AA's but performs exceptionally well on Superdomes!

    Have fun!

Nice to see a good thread about my rifle and with such great praise . I love mine and I agree, it's the best budget rifle all round for the money. All those features usually only found on far more expensive kit, combined with excellent out the box accuracy and anyone who owns/shoots one is onto a winner :D.

I'm sooooooooo glad I did a whole pile of research and took the advice of so many of you on this forum to buy the Hatsan Mod 60s instead of the other full power rifle I almost bought, (SMK XS19). I handled both in the RFD and it could only be the Hatsan.

RWS Superdomes!!!!! They rule in mine. Great pellet :)

    Andy :)

me n matty have been raving about the hatsan mod (55s, 60s and 85xth) rifles for a couple of years, since we began shooting. in fact, the first rifle we bought was a mod 85xth, and the last rifle we bought was a mod55s, with a few pcp's inbetween. matty rates them so highly, that he's regularly plinkin away in the garden with one, whilst the s400, mpr and ultra are gathering dust. in fact, we recommend them so highly, we have been asked if we are on a commission from hatsan !

Yes the barrel lockup is stiff when new but will loosen a bit with use, just make sure it's well lubricated. A word of caution though,if you're going to strip the gun to fettle and relube the barrel pivot bolt is often done up extremely tight from the factory so you'll need a good fitting screwdriver bit to undo it otherwise you'll chew the head of the bolt.As everyone says they are extremely good value for money and definitely the best gun in that price region.I've got a Hatsan 55s,60s and a Mod 95s.
