1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Well I went for a bash at some potential crows this aft, as I had a conversation with the farmer last night as he was working late well past 8:30 seeding the first of the cultivated fields.

He said he reckoned there would be some crows on tomorrow afternoon so I was there around 3:00 decoys gun hide at the ready, thought I would give them the morning to turn on to it.

Anyway as I got there I was told by the farm owner I had been mentioned this morning with the farm manager as I shot two woodies off the barn roof with the Rapid as we stood talking last night, he was impressed :up: so that went down well anyway.

So after a long trek to the bottom of the field there wasn't any crows or pigeons in sight! because the next field was being drilled so they were all down there, never mind I had lugged the gear about 1/2 a mile so I was staying now.

So it was a medicocure afternoon nothing spectacular but one thing that surprised me was how the banging didn't bother the pheasant poults one bit! all day coming within feet of me despite the banging and the dead nearly falling on them! in fact at one point one looked like it was coming in the hide with me[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG], And also two Rabbits sat amongst them sunning themselves but I came for crows so I left the rabbits for airgun fodder.

To be honest it made shooting very tricky as I didn't want to shoot any poults and everywhere I turned into a pigeon a poult was there:D but never mind its always enjoyable to be out I saw hares as always very close not afraid of me at all, I saw buzzards, kestrels, sparrow hawk, all around the new poults, alost saw lots of song birds congregating, been a pleasurable afternoon, no crows today only Jackdaws and a few pigeons, but they made some nice birds with the wind and all, as it wasn't half blustery up there today.

Here is my hide can you spot it? [IMG] good net is that.;)

    And my pattern lovely spot[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Pigeons looked so healthy I breasted them when I got in and had some pigeon (fillet steak style) sandwiches on fresh bread cakes, I can still taste it as I type keep doing a pigeon burp or two, I gave a friend of the family some to try and he was gobsmacked that it was the same meat he saw me pulling out of pigeons ten minutes earlier, he took a tray full to do his own pigeon sandwiches tomorrow:D happy days.

Modest bag but very enjoyable afternoon [IMG][IMG]

I have up to this woodline but this wood is the woodies breading ground a good 4 mile of it so plenty to go at and the combine was still chugging away as I left so better fields to be had yet![IMG]

Nice pics, and interesting read. Me thinks my shotgun licence with no guns on it of my own, needs to change. Just wonder how the one with the longest trousers will take to it. :protest:KB1

Excellent write up as always, you should take kids with you and charge admission for the petting zoo you have obviously got permission on!

I went to an open range in a wooded area today, I was there for 4 hours and I don't even think I seen a living thing even though we don't kill on the range.

    Nice day our for you.
