1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

280cc or 400cc considered new valve type please, just sold one like an idiot now I need one.

I'm wanting someone localish for a face to face because I've bought a gun and the seller wouldn't send the bottle due to having one confiscated recently with RM special delivery and sent it to Ireland to be destroyed, it was a brand new MFR bottle to boot!

Not even the RFD would send the gun with a buddy bottle attached which is very frustrating.

So somehow need someone near south Yorkshire to meet up, may be able to swap some stuff for the right bottle, please no fizzers need apply, cheers.

Still looking lads must be a non fizzer and preferably new delrin type valve or Bearing as its going on a newly regged gun.

The one I use on my .22 Rapid is a fizzer - it only fizzes whilst off the gun! Once fitted it is fine, for months - if you fit a quick fill set up then it doesn't matter because the bottle valve is redundant anyway. The only time a fizzer is of any consequence is if you carry it as a psare out in the field.

The old type shrader valves found on early mk1s are not ideal for the push pin on the reg (and its a new reg), sometimes they can open the bottle valve dumping all the air before the O ring seals the bottle the distance has to be set right, the newer type delrin valves are more suited to regs that's what Im after, kicking myself as I only sold a minter 400cc with new valve not long back.

I would consider a Ball bearing type if its a non fizzer.

If they are fizzing they are not sealing simple as that, my 280 doesn't fiz neither did my 400 both derin valves, and they both worked perfectly on my other Reg.

For the record you can try some bottles on a reg and the stainless can often have a memory from what its been fitted to if its been fitted to something like a mk1 or a fastflow, therefore when you try and put them on a new reg, they can be very tight and not smooth, in these circumstances the threads on the bottle may need to be rethreaded with an adjuster die simply a matter of going down with a thread die wrench and slowly tightening the die, until its a smooth fit into the Reg.

If its a newer bottle they will fit better on a newly machined reg well they do on my other Rapid anyway, tried an older bottle and it didn't even screw on don't know if some were metric and others imperial, but it was nothing like, so newer type wanted please, 280cc or 400cc bb or delrin.
