1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

To close this box once you've read it (and the Rules), click on the X in the top right-hand corner.

The life insurance ad on the telly. Legal and General I think. They magnanimously tell us that should you die, your dependants MAY qualify for a cash payout. That's good of them isn't it?

I looked recently for another policy that would pay out in the event of my death to ensure my family are catered for, nothing too grand just 100k or so... IF they paid out!

Who's got £500 a month to spare then?

Since the interest rates went down there seems to be a rise in scaremongering insurance adverts, it's as if the fat cats money isn't making any money so let's promise the plebs something which we won't return!
Pensions are the same, I think just for a couple of days everyone should take all their money out of the banking system, obviously leave in what you owe for direct debits etc, but see how these slimey s**ts react when it happens.

The thing is you could pay in for years and when you die if they dont pay out you wont know.
Good thing about being dead is you personally do not have to pay out anymore.
Having said that if you leave any money your next to kin will.
