1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Been to the club today with my impact, picked up some new .22 pellets but got JSB not the Air Arms I tested the gun with. With the JSB groups opened up with a couple of flyers so went back to the AA I had left 10 shot group under a 10p at 60 yards outside can't knock my impact at the moment even though it is a .22 ;)

Wait until you've fitted the .177 barrel and tried some 50 yards + shooting; I've kept my Impact in .177 since receiving the barrel kit a few weeks ago - Bisley Magnums in 4.52mm, appear to be stealing the show at the moment.

If I can match the .22 at 60 yards with the .177 I will be delighted if any rifle can do a 10 shot group under a 10p outside with breeze that's as good as it gets

Now to find the 9 who weren't. Could AIS the importer confirm BAR even had 10 rifles to begin with?

We would all know then for sure if they are full of it.

Following my recent email conversation with ASI I'm fairly confident the figures are somewhat (read massively) inflated and have very little to do with significant problems with Impacts. I would say most are related to leaks, which I think are mainly from the gauges, and the problem I experienced of a faulty mag (of which most are just a little stiff). No serious accuracy problems or guns not working at all as far as I'm aware. ASI have been very good with me so far and I'm very happy with the responses I've received. I won't go in to specifics as I'm not sure how much of what was relayed to me was in confidence.

I would say if you are/were interested in an Impact don't just follow the sheep and believe everything you hear, do your own research and contact ASI for their take on the situation.

Be intetested to know how you get on

I like the look of the Silver :) Yeah I'll pop up a post when Ive shot both a bit. Will use a couple of different grain pellets through each (same manufactures for each calibre). Not sure it will tell anyone anything new but...

All opinions are welcome, especially as we're trying to establish if owners are happy with them or not.

    Thanks. ;)

Well I have them and both work......so far :D. Time will tell. Keep you posted.

Left is .177, right is .22 fitted with original Atlas Bipod which I must say is a very nice bit of kit :)

Very nice 'Caliber' - glad you're up and running; you did well to find one of each type, given the current shortages.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on with them.

I got my black .22 Impact in October from City Airweapons in Solihull. It's been back due to the trigger sticking.

It's very pellet fussy. I've tried 20+ pellet types/sizes and have settled on 2, FX's own and JSB Jumbo Express, both in 5.52
The magazine was a very tight fit to start with but has loosened up with use.

I'm happier with the Impact at this stage of ownership than I was at the same point with both our S410 and R10.
Hopefully in 3 or 4 months i'll get a .177 barrel kit for it.

I have a feeling that most impacts are going to be VERY pellet fussy, I would recommend that if you intend to keep your Impact for a long time when you do find a pellet batch it really likes and you can tell straight away, buy more tins than you can afford and then buy some more.

Are you saying this as an owner of an Impact - If so, which pellets are best through your rig?

Yes I am the owner of a Impact, I got Air Arms .22 (made by JSB) when I bought the impact, I was running low so bought some JSB Exact and they would not group to save my life.
So I hunted down some more AA dye 53 but made on a different date and thankfully back to normal on the grouping. The difference on a almost identical pellet was amazing
When I get my .177 barrel and find its best pellet batch I will buy 50-60 tins
